    Michigan announced that Mitch McGary will have lower back surgery.  Saw this one coming.  Best to get it out of the way and rehab before the combine, if he declares.

     Hopefully the rehab goes well and his back problems go away after the surgery.  I like him as a prospect if healthy, but back injuries for a guy his size are troubling, as back injuries tend to only get worse with time, rather than better.  Unfortunately, McGary’s injury issues seem like a serious red flag on his pre-draft resume.

    Sullinger seems to be doing fine after his back surgery.  Not sure how his injury was different than McGary’s though.  Hopefully Mitch has a similar recovery.

     Should take the rest of the season off to get healthy. Nothing wrong with coming back.
