With free agents soon being able to be traded, what player does everyone think is the missing piece for each team to get to either the playoffs or take their next Step? and who would you give up to get them? What teams are Set, or should tank for the lottery?

MY Favorite Moves that i can think of right now are
Portland – Devin Harris. Trade – Andre Miller draft picks and cash
Toronto- Samuel Dalembert- Trade calderon and filler (probably julian wright) for dalembert and udrich

Utah needs a veteran center who could start, and still help Fezenko reach full potential, as well as help us out while Memo recovers from his injury. Jefferson might start at Center for the time being but I would rather have him play the PF because that is where he is most dangerous. I’m liking Dalembert, and who would I give up. Either AK or Memo. I think AK. Now because AK has that humongous contract the Kings would give Utah Garcia, and cash considerations. While Utah gives up a 2011 or 2012 draft pick (second round) to even the score and entice the Kings more.

Utah trades AK, 2nd 2011 pick
Kings trade Dalembert, Garcia, cash considerations

Why Kings accept, The Kings have been looking for a legitamate starting 3 since Hedo and Peja left. Pretty long time. Casspi seems ok but AK would certainly be better. He has also learned a lot from Utah, so I think he could teach Casspi/Greene a thing or two and be a great locker room presence. And well, I think the case for Utah is pretty valid. The Kings don’t really need Dalembert because they have a dearth of bigmen (Thompson, Dalembert, Cousins, Landry)

(if this trade does not work still, someone please help me out and tweak it so it does. I would use the trade machine but its getting late and I need to get to bed, so this should be good, but it might need help. Maybe a 3 team trade or a better veteran, defensive, starting center)

thats a horrible deal for NJ. The only reason trade talks were surrounding Devin Harris was because of them getting a chance at John Wall. I could see them trading away Harris but they got to get back more talent. Maybe Harris for Miller, Babbit, and Fernandez + cash and picks. Devin Harris is a real talent

I agree with you on this, harris is worth more then just a miller salary dump. when i said cash and picks i ment to include young talent as well. i just didn’t want to fiddle with finding a specific deal, since portland has so many good cheap assets. Also if they Add too many of them NJ may have to take on more salary.

An improved trade for Jersey might be.
Nets Recieve Andre miller, taj gibson, Portland’s 2011 and 2013 first round picks and chicago’s 2011 first round pick with varying forms of protection
    blazers get Harris
    Bulls get Fernandez.

i just don’t see the minutes being there in jersey for Fernandez, and that gives the nets some solid assets. maybe even enough for a melo trade

Although the trade is ridiculous, Harris would be a great fit in Portland.

dude the second trade you mad was way more ridiculous then the first one.
devin harris isnt even worth 3 first round picks, yet alone taj gibson and andre miller.
i get that the guy is talented but he isnt elite, hes not going to be elite either. he would be a good addition for the blazers but hardly worth throwing 2 of your first round picks and starting veteran point guard at. my opinion

AK is a better four man and I think Jason Thompson or Green could be a solid 3 as well as that dude from Israel

Everything in this statement is pretty much wrong except for the kings having a “dude from israel.” Ak is much better at the 3 because he is WAY to weak for the 4 and Thompson is a 4/5 (NOT a 3).

Also, I love Jazz fans that make trades that 100% benefit the Jazz and dont help the other team at all. Dalembert and Garcia for AK? Basically the kings would be giving up their only legit shooter and shot-blocker(whiteside is a project) on the team for a “hasbeen” 3 when they already have Casspi and Greene.

thanks for your thoughts. i agree the second trade is a bit much, i posted it trying to get a positive reaction from NJ fans. Because fans in general tend to overvalue their players. In sayng that if i were portland i would still do it.

the deal in my head was, Andre Miller, whatever they could get for rudy fernandez and 2 No 1 picks. lottery (top 15 protected)
Sometimes you have to overpay for players, and a veteran PG, a disgruntled wing and 2 1st rounders, for a top 10 PG who is the ideal fit next to your top 5 SG. i would do that.

I have portland as top 3 in the west and 5 in the league, so giving up pick 26 in next years draft which will suck, since a lot of guys will return to school rather then take their chances with a lockout. then again in 2013 if that pick is in the range of 20-30 then its not that big a deal. those picks can be bought for cash if portland really likes someone that much
