     Be prepared for Miss. ST this season, Howland is going to have this team playing tough.. Sleeper Pick to make some noise in the SEC.

     about a Ben Howland team at least 8-10 times already. He had some loaded UCLA teams that way underperformed because of his hard nose coaching style. Newman was half the player he should of been under Howland.

    I’ve stopped believing in him completly. Miss St could prove me wrong this year, but count me as a doubter.

       Newman is ball dominant, shoot first guard without elite size or athleticism. Said before he entered college that he was gonna struggle. He looked (and still looks) like Daniel Gibson with a crossover to me. Can’t blame that on the coach.

    They should really be a good team this season but we’ll see. I’ve lived right outside Starkville almost my whole life and I’ve seen this dance too many times to know to wait til I see it to believe it. I think Lamar Peters is the real deal though and if they do well this year, it’ll be in large part because of him becoming Kemba

        The Weatherspoons should be big parts of this team too. They definitely have talent so it’ll be interesting to see if they can put it together

    Ben Howland was supposed to come to Miss St and be able to fix his biggest flaw watch was his coach/player relationship skills. With Newman and Kegler both transfering he obviously has not made much improvement. It makes me wonder how he even gets these 4 and 5 star recruits in the first place.

      Either way the team has tons of upside. Its not just Lamar Peters there they are quite deep with talent. Weatherspoon should be thier leading scorer again. Weatherspoon, Holman, Wright, Carter, Herard and the redshit freshman Ado are all guys I think have NBA upside.

    Mississippi State isn’t going to finish 12th.  The SEC preseason poll was a joke.  They will finish ahead of Missouri.
