I read that too… I knew that URI and Providence were recruiting him hard but he seemed to be more of a long term investment for high major. Maybe Calipari is looking for the next Josh Harellson.

Well, it apparently ate my post. That sucks. Here is the link:

    http://www.lex18.com/news/croatian-player-reportedly-visiting-uk

    Another link:

    http://wildcatbluenation.com/2012/04/25/mislav-brzoja-to-visit-john-calipari-and-kentucky-wildcats-today/

Link to his stats from U19 and U18 Croatian teams last summer (He is born January 9, 1984):

    http://latvia2011.fiba.com/pages/eng/fa/player/p/pid/86017/sid/5194/tid/2168/_/2011_FIBA_U19_World_Championship/index.html

The second link also says that UK is now in the running for Motrezl Harrell, who is appearing likely to bolt VT after the firing of Seth Greenberg. Harrell has a boat load of other schools he is considering and UK still has a chance at Anthony Bennett or Amile Jefferson. Still, interesting development on what should likely be the last piece UK adds for next year. Mark Lyons (who seems to be leaving Xavier and has a few other options as well) is a name that has floated around as a possibility for Kentucky as well.

Here is a Brzoja highlight video, looks to be a solidly built 2 guard. Crazy that he popped up so late in the process, but apparently turned heads at a recent tournament.

I meant 1994, my bad. My original post would have been so much more key. Dude, are you sure about those stats/have a link? He could have, but I think he was playing HS ball this year in Indiana. No idea, but just did not see those stats pop up while looking him up. Just to think he would be playing on a team with Saric and Bagaric kind of makes less sense about him trying to go to college. Not to mention it says he is going to a HS in Indiana.

Mislav Brzoja is 2nd best Croatian prospect in our 94. generation along with Dominik Mavra. besides of corse Saric. Only reason he is not among best NBA draft prospects is his below average athleticisam. He has perfect SG skills and fundumentals, along with that he has amazeing court vision with extra idea when he is passing ball. He is also very good on defense despite lack of athleticisam. Very high IQ player. He played for Dubrava Zagreb wich is his team. Very small club, but with great yuth school. Saric was there on loan, while Bagaric was playing for free waiting for some biger club offer. Brzoja had ofers from evrey biger Croatian club, but he wanted get education as here it’s way to hard for playing as profesional and go to university. You have some more of his highlights here, he is number 10

Appreciate it. Guess he must not have taken money and it was the second league I guess. Honestly believe if Saric played in the NCAA next year, he would be an instant impact guy. If he were in the HS Class of 2012, he is top 5 in my book. Might even be higher. It is a weak class, but Saric is a player it is difficult not to like. Not sure about Brzoja, but I am guessing he could be a solid contributor down the line. Just probably will take some time.
