     Hi all,

Here is a link to the results from the survey I asked you to fill in the other day.

    In graph form!

Feel free to discuss and offer your thoughts.

There were some interesting results in there, particularly when you consider the rumours flying around about Minnesota’s intentions with the first overall pick.

I liked the survey questions a lot and it was a great idea but the ‘bar-chart results’ ‘layout’ is confusing and convoluted imo.

    Good survey though.

Was there a particular bar chart that was confusing?

I know the last one with the rankings was a bit hard, but believe me, there was no simple way to get that information across graphically.

I could post up the raw numbers to a couple if people are interested though.

I think it’s hilarious that so many people have faith in our management. Remember that while Flip may have stolen away Wiggins, he did also give up Miami’s protected (for a time) pick for half a season of Thad Young, and gave up a first to trade for Adreian Payne, who was arguably one of the worst players in the NBA last year, despite him being a 24 year old rookie. Not to mention the complete disaster of mismanaging his roster all season- we desperately needed a PG and he basically refused to sign one from the D League instead choosing to keep Radulijca on the roster for some stupid reason (oh wait, it’s because his agent is Rob Babcock (a close friend of Flip’s)’s kid). Furthermore, he refuses to stand down (see the Dick Cheney-esque "coaching search) from the coaching position despite basically everyone available being better than him (Dear Flip: Long 2’s are dumb, and should not be the basis of an offense). Lastly, he has made it abundantly clear  that he wants Okafor, despite the fact that 1) Towns and Russell are better prospects, and 2) Okafor doesn’t fit our roster well. He’s destroyed any leverage he has for a team like LA that wants to move up for Towns (though LA has like zero assets to work with anyways, lol) because he’s been so transparent about loving Okafor.

I really want to have faith that Flip/Papa Glen can build a good team. But the reality is, as long as Glen and/or Flip are present, we will never sniff a title.

I agree that the faith in the T-Wolves is pretty good but I believe this is mostly due to the fact that this teams is loaded with young talent and will add this years top pick too.

Personally I’m not a fan fan of Saunders and think he needs to be removed at some point to really let this team grow but this is still a few years away until they can really compete for the playoffs year in and year out.

I disagree with you on Payne. I think this trade was absolutely worth doing and think Payne could be the starting PF for this squad down the road. He was burried on a historic Hawks team with Horford, Milsapp, Carroll and good role players like Antic. Schröder had also a quiet first year and really progressed since he passed Shelvin Mack in the rotation and Payne really didn’t have this chance until the trade. Last years Hawks without Horford would have been a much different story.

I would rather try to move Bennett and Pek/Martin for a SG with some years left or go after a guy like Mathews then bashing this trade. I would be very surprised if KG can’t get Dieng, Payne and #1 and in the right lane. Not so sure about Bennett even if he deserves a Chance in this building enviroment too.

Saunders was actually the right call to coach this team.

With such a radical change in roster, the fans and players needed a familiar face with a sense of continuity to help them adjust to the post-Kevin Love era.

He tried getting Joeger (sp?) But was spurned and nobody else really looked right, except Hoiberg, who got snatched up by Chicago.

Also, having the opportunity to work with the players as coach gives him a better idea as GM who he should keep around and who needs to be dealt.

He’s also able to take a long-term approach with developing these guys because he’s under no pressure to deliver instant results due to his strong connection with the board.

These are all good reasons for Flip to have been the coach last season, and probably this one.

Also, he didn’t sign a PG because he wanted to see what LaVine could do at that position when given the chance.

And signing KG was definitely the right move, because he’s the perfect player to serve as culutural architect for this team and change the mentality of losing.

Similarly, it sends a strong message that people do want to play in Minnesota, and it also takes pressure off Wiggins and Rubio to be the leaders of the franchise before they are ready.

Its pretty remarkable how he was able to keep the fans on-side deapite the worst record in the NBA.

I’m not sure a brand-new coach with no ties to the organisation could have done that.

However, Flip had damn-well better take Towns instead of Okafor or he’s going to ruin the culture of teamwork, intensity and professionalism he worked so hard to create.

That said, I wouldn’t be surprised if this is all smoke-screening and Flip is trying to find a way to swap picks with the Lakers and still get Towns.

Having looked back over every public statement he’s made since Adelman retired, he’s an absolute master at playing the media to his advantage.

Also, as far as the terms used to describe the team before and after the Kevin Love trade by fans.

The most common before Kevin Love trade were mediocre, boring and stuck.

The most common to describe them now were young, exciting and potential, followed closely by athletic.
