This is probably one of, if not the biggest, unknown in this year’s draft class. I didn’t really care much at all about him until he measured 7-2 at the Nets’ combine and reportedly did pretty well there. I still really know next to nothing about this guy, there’s hardly anything online, so can someone with some knowledge of Kupsas describe his game for me? Can he sneak into the 2nd round of the draft?

There is no such thing as sneaking into the second round. If a guy is good enough to work out for a team, then he is good enough to be considered in the second round.

If a team is drafting Kupsas, they know that they are taking someone years away from playing in the NBA. The turnover and foul rate is enormous in the Baltic League, and he wasn’t finishing well. Then again, there are far worse things than taking a giant 21-year old and waiting on him for a few years.

See Tanguy Ngombo, Chukwudiebere Maduabum and Ater Majok for guys sneaking into the NBA draft.
