That gives the raptors

That gives the raptors DeRozan, Fields, Ross, Kleiza (also a solid PF), and Alan Anderson along with Mickael playing the wings on this roster. Its good to have depth but I wonder if this could be a signing to make a move for another player down the line (perferably a PF to compliment Big Val)

I can't believe it took him

I can't believe it took him this long to find a team. I thought for sure a contender would pick him up to play 15 - 20 mins a game to play defense, get out on the break and spot up for 3's. At least he will get a paycheck from the Raptors I guess

This is a smart move by the

This is a smart move by the Roptors - may help stop the bleeding a little. Both Anderson and Fields have been out and Fields had not been producing even when he was there. Pietrus and Kleiza can take turns starting depending on the team, and both should be solid off the bench. No offence to Diminic McGuire, but he should should not really even be in the main rotation. They need some sort of offence out of the three spot.

This could help the Raps get their defensive mojo from last year back, since their best defender was in the three spot (James Johnson.)

This also puts preasure on the other wing players a bit. Especially Fields when he returns. I liked his signing originally, but he is definately getting paid way too much. If he can not find a way to contribute offensively there will be a few guys waiting in line to take his job.

great signing by the raps.

great signing by the raps. much needed help (landry is a bust) from the 3 spot. adds 3's and d to our weakest position. plenty of 3's on this team, time to move one (& calderon) for either a 1 (pass first) or a 4 with offensive skills (sorry but amir & ed just aren't cutting it, although ed has improved (should have stayed at UNC for a yr longer)). looking good BC, keep it up

Don't take offence because

Don't take offence because your oppinions are not far off base or anything. But The Raptors already have a pass first point - his name is Jose. If they are looking for a big trade he likely would be involved, but it is definately not time to pull that cord - trade deadline seems best. They have a scoring 4 in Bargnani, and Davis should have more value later in the season, or next year if he continues to improve.

The Pietrus signing is fantastic, but I think any other major moves (unless they are obviously solid trades) might be over reactions at this point. But I would like to see them win a basketball game once in a while.
