juves4783Participantalthough it was really hard to watch ark’s offense against wofford last night, there was one shining star in michael qualls. dude, had 3-4 highlight reel dunks and almost single handedly kept ark in that game until portis started getting to the ft line.
anyways being a nuggs fan, i noticed a lot of similarities to new nugget, will barton. both guys seems to be very skinny with inconsistent shooting motions but have great hops and ability to put the ball in the hoop. seeing how barton is performing given minutes makes me really think that qualls is a guy worth a look in the late 1st/early 2nd round as an energy guy off the bench.
anyone think this guy can get into the 1st round?
(i’m making the assumption he’s leaving if portis leaves.)

TRC1991ParticipantQualls isn’t skinny dude.
He’s 6’6” 210. Pretty filled out also. Will Barton’s 6’6” 170

ProudGrandpaParticipantQualls is very strong and athletic. I could be way off but I see him as more of a strong rebounding swingman like PJ Tucker or Andre Roberson. Not much of a shot creator, either. i think Barton is way off as a comparison.

oc1234ParticipantQualls actually reminds me of a bigger Avery Bradley. Not a great ball handler and not a great offensive player, but he is a good spot shooter, he can get to the rim, and he has good shooting form. I think he has starting potential because he’s long, athletic, a good defender, and has shown to be a good spot shooter. Hopefully he can come to the Celtics and take Bradley’s role.
