Michael Porter' future position in the NBA

What position do you think Porter will play in the NBA?

Do you consider him a tweener or someone who can succesfully play both forwards spots?

I think Porter's best position will be SF, although he will be able to spot the PF

He is def. a wing that will play SF because of his skill set, but in today's NBA he will play some PF as well especially with his size.

Long term he's a PF to me. I think that'd be his best defensive position as his hips are a bit stiff and he tends to play upright. Defensively, I think he'd be exposed on the perimeter. He's no KD or even Paul George in terms ball skill and first step either. His ball skill is more comparable to a Rudy Gay in that he uses it to create jumpshots, not so much drives to the hoop. I think his ability off the bounce would play better vs opposing PFs. Also, he's a good rebounder and 2 foot leaper so I'd rather see that ability played closer to the paint defensively.

Agreed. He reminds me of a bouncer Galinari, but he doesn't have even his ball skills yet. If he lifts, eats and naturally physically matures he'd be ideal as a modern 4. As it stands he'd get murdered on the perimeter.

I think he'll be an SF to start with but will play some PF and has potential to play that position longterm. His height and wingspan would be okay for today's type of PF even if he does get outmuscled by some of the stronger PFs at least initially.

Also a lot will depend who drafts him and what depth they have at 3 and 4 as to where he plays.

SF, PF, or WTF either way,

SF, PF, or WTF either way, the other other guy next to Embiid and Simmons in Philly, or between Sideshow Mike and Marc in Memphis or LeBron's placement in Cleveland. If he is on the board when the Celtics pick, it's Kyrie, a nominal big man, with TatumBrownPorterWhopperJr in the fill in the blank spots.

Short answer: he's whatever Kyle Kuzma is.

Porter and Kuzma are very

Porter and Kuzma are very different players in terms of positional fit because to me Porter's natural position is on the wing where Kuzma's natural position is as a stretch big. Both can play either position, but Porter could even slide in and play SG which Kuzma can't.

There is a zero percent

There is a zero percent chance Porter could play the 2 successfully.

Hard to say. I wanna see how

Hard to say. I wanna see how he handles the ball under top notch pressure. Seems to have a high dribble. Idtsay he's a forward SF and PF but has the potential to play some SG similar to Tatum.
