Lotto StudParticipantIf Beasley becomes a draft day trade, do you think he can blossom into the sensation he was hyped up to be, straight out of Kansas St.?

dolla130Participanti think so, i truly think if he would have gotten drafted by chicago he would have shown the same progression like rose just off the fact that he would be the guy and he is used to that role and also like rose they would have let him learn from his mistake, him being drafted by miami a team that really didnt want to take him and from jump street was there 2nd to third option and sat him a lot instead of having him learn through exp, i think on a struggling team he can thrive as a number one option and prove that he can actually play

sheltwon3ParticipantLook at Beasley stats, his second year is kind of like Durant’s first year except he is a better defender and he has had to play with a more dominate scorer and a style that is not a great fit for him.

Charlie SheenParticipantI think Miami expected him to be too great too early he never had a transitioning period in the league he came in and immediately he’s the second option. If he goes to Chicago he plays around more talent at the time and would flourish in their system. teams I think that would be interested in him are NO for Collison GS for Ellis maybe throw in James Jones Washington for Nick Young or Randy Foye Minnesota maybe for Sessions or Flynn and maybe Portland for Bayless these are all teams with holes at SF and multiple PG’s takin up space

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantBeasley can’t play defense. He reminds me of a Antawn Jamison. Too small for the PF position but too slow for the SF position. He just can’t defend but offensively gifted and long arms can help him gather rebounds.

thatdude44ParticipantI think if he just works hard and focus on getting better he’ll be successful anywhere, then we’ll start to to see what all the hype was about

kanebangerParticipantBeasley cant play defense doesnt rebound that well for 6’10 He averaged 14.8 pts and 6.4 boards during the regular season and 10.4 pts and 5.8 boards in the playoffs. It shows you what happens when he goes against kendrick perkins and kevin garnett. 0 blocks and .8 steals a game in the play offs too. He is just another average player. If he picks up his intesity on Defense is which he has to do he could become better. Defense is all hustle and tenacity something he lacks and all great players have

bobbybParticipantBeasley just doest care, just look at his facial expressions, then look at Garnetts. His immense talent will be wasted

sultijay01ParticipantAm a wizards fan we’ll take him and give Miami the 30 and the 34 pick plus cap space

Pistol Pete. The PelicanParticipantI don’t agree that Beasley is to slow to play small forward. He was better in every athleticism test over Rudy Gay except the vertical and better in Carmelo Anthony in every thing except the 3/4 sprint which Carmelo had a 3.15 and Beasley had a 3.24. So saying he’s to slow for the small forward position isn’t true. I mean look at paul pierce he plays in slow motion.
Both of those are 2 of the top 5 small forwards in the game, both mainly “scorers”
Remember a lot of people were comparing Beasley to Melo before he was drafted. I actually think Beasley at the 3 is the position he should be at, and Most coaches that scouted him said he should be at the 3 or stretch 4, not a traditional 4 like miami wants him to be.
I think he could be successful at any team he plays at including Miami if they would allow him to play his game instead of sitting him out the whole 4th quarter. His minutes dropped every month of this season, with his minutes so did his productivity.
He’s a scorer first, when he scores his defense and rebounding is better. Tons of players are like that. Carmelo was criticized for poor defense and poor passing until like his 3rd or 4th season.
I hope Beasley gets traded. I heard Washington wants him. Beasley and John Wall would be a good tandem for years to come.

lalailaParticipantreally really want him to be traded. the guy who avg little more points and little more rebounds than Durant in the same BIG 12 conference really should be good and i still hope he will. At some games when he gets touches and is motivated he looks almost unstoppable..if Chicago or New York won’t get star PF i like him there the most and also if Amare won’t come back i like him in Phoenix too.
