don042488ParticipantWhat u guys think about the Miami Heat’s supporting cast, their putting around Wade, LeBron, and Bosh? I think Z is decent, but he’s a 3rd string center at this point in his career, Mike Miller is good, but injury prone, Juwan Howard is decent, but not athletic to defend “Superman”, and Joel Anthony is a great defender and shot blocker, but is undersized…I think they should go for Josh Boone, he’s a young athleic defender, Roger Mason Jr., Matt Barnes, and Keyon Dooling, to fill out the roster…any suggestions from u guys?

Michael.S.ParticipantBarnes is supposedly deciding between Boston and Miami so they have a chance. I still think they need a starting C. Z is not the answer at all. evey other position is solid but a backup pg wouldn’t hurt.

Charlie SheenParticipantEarl Barron would be solid for Miami maybe play the Perkins type role he’s 7 feet and 250 averaged 11 and 11 would be solid im Miami
Chalmers
Wade
James
Bosh
Barron
Bench- Miller, Varnado, Pittman, Haslem, Howard, Z, Butler, Back up PG0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/15/2010 - 11:01am #354910
canesboy6ParticipantHeres How I see it not sure about who is going to play “pg” but I feel between Wade and Lebron in crunch time, it will be ok.
Starters
Wade
James
Miller
Bosh
HaslemI dont see any way that Miller doesnt start, and Haslem is the rock he has been there forever they wont take his starting job away. They aren’t super stacked in the middle, but that is a huge all around lineup because off the help that Wade and James offer rebounding and blocking shots.
Second string
Jason Williams
Chalmers
Jerry Stackhouse (this ones a guess)
Juwan Howard
ZThen we got Pittman, who will be good, Varnado who I’m not sure will make the team, and Da’sean who Im not sure will make the team. I have a sneaky suspicion that both Jon Scheyer and Kenny Hasbrouck will make the team.

OllstarParticipantTMAC could play start with these guys and defend the slowest wing player. He’ll take minimum. Barnes will be good to pick up fouls against Pierce in the conf. finals. or to pester his old team in the playoffs. Brad Miller can provide alot of what Z does with the mid range shot. Shaq wants more rings than Kobe. Kwame could look good with these players. Earl Barron played in Miami.

No he wont. People don’t understand- Miami is not getting a Iverson, McGrady, Shaq type for the minimum.

HotSnotParticipantIts too bad about Barnes… The dude has been a player the last few seasons starting with the Warriors, then Suns and Magic. He starts, defends and produces. He’s not all world or anything but he’s a NBA caliber player who puts in the work. Every off season he goes fishing for a contract and every season he can only get near the minimum. I hope that guys luck breaks eventually.

JNixonParticipantThey need to keep Patrick Beverley! The guy is very quick and athletic, and he’s an intense defender. He’d be a good 2nd or 3rd PG.

yellowdunkerParticipantpersonally in my opinion i think everybody talking bout big Z is wrong i think he would be a perfect starting center fot the miami heat…..the heat got 3 players who can dominate the game in any direction fast pace, slow, double double, triple doubles, offence, defense either or it dosent matter so which means when they say there looking for role players they mean ROLE PLAYERS! we all know big Z is out of his prime and so does miami and tells you they dont need a guy to average a double double to help then when his presence alone will do enough at 7”3′ 5 points 4 boards, and 3 asst is PERFECT next to 3 guys who can give you 90 points 24asst and 27boards in total and that goes for anybody else they will sign they will be a role player as in 3pt shooter, rebounder, or play maker they dont need anymore (trying to be the man type of guys)

Mr. JewboyParticipanthow are lebron wade and bosh gonna get you 90 points 24 ass and 27 boards? thats likes 30 pts, 8 asts, and 9 brds each..not gonna happen
anyways, i’ll tell you why Z isnt good for them. in order to get to out of the east, they gotta beat orlando and dwight, so if Z wasnt able to do that 2 years ago how would he do it now when he’s slower and dwights better?
they need a center that can hold his own, like rasheed and perkins were able to do to howard and by that neutrlizing their entire offense0 - AuthorPosts
