Hawks played without Marvin Williams and lost Horford about midway through the game and Miami was without Bosh. Offense was horrendous for most of the game for both teams and Lebron despite having 34 points and 10 rebounds didn’t really come alive until the fourth quarter/overtime where he basically kept his team in the game.

What are your thoughts on the game? Anything important you took away from it or any positives and negatives you saw from both teams?

Oh and something else I found interesting, Joel Anthony had 16 rebounds and attempted no field goals, and is the first player to do so since Rodman in 1999, 8 of them were offensive rebounds too, gave the Heat a lot of second chance point oppurtunities.

That offense just stood around, especially when they needed a basket which is why they lost, lack of effort on the offensive end plain and simple

was looking forward to how lebron and wade would handle end of game situations, and tonight they were both ugly in those spots. End of regulation wade dribbles it down without going anywhere or drawing a second defender and then just swings it around to lebron for a last second 25 footer. Then in OT lebron has mike bibby on an iso play and doesnt even try to take him off the dribble or to the post. He just passed it to james jones at the top who wasnt even open and jones gives it right back and lebron has to jack up a 27 footer at the buzzer.

Those two have to take guys off the dribble and draw double teams or get to the foul line.

Bad plays by both Wade and LeBron when they had chances to close out the game.

I’ll tell you what though… Joe Johnson is good. He was having his way with Wade and LeBron. He’s not the athlete those two are, but he’s damn near just as big and strong as LeBron, and can also handle the hell out of the ball. He can post up. Shoot the three. Hell of a mid-range game. And he can pass the ball well. He’s also a good defender. I like Johnson a lot… Why isn’t he a superstar? What’s held him back?

they were doing way to many isol plays for lebron and wade, its ok to do isol plays when ur hot but they were both missing a lot. on the bright side even when lebron and wade both had bad games, it was still a very close game.

Hah pretty funny you’d think with 8 offensive rebounds Anthony would put up at least one putback attempt. On a side note I really hope the Hawks can extend Crawford. Obviously we are in a hole financially after extending Joe and Horford but any real Hawks fan knows that Crawford might be the most valuble on the team. He’s the #1 offensive threat on the team as JJ has several off nights. Without Crawford the Hawks offense would be pathetic. He creates so much in terms of scoring and drawing the defense too him to dish it off. Anyone who thinks the Hawks can let go of Jamal because we have Jordan is wrong. Jordan Crawford has a nice albiet streaky jumper but I don’t think he’ll ever be as potent of a scorer as Jamal.
