GottaBeTheShoesParticipantSometimes you have to hide until Bosh, Wade, and Allen show up. You know this is so late, I’d guess you just woke up and looked at the score. True Miami fan right there…

beard20ParticipantIf you are a diehard Celtic fan. Who do you cheer for first? The Lakers or The Heat?

SpacegrassParticipantHeat fans are awful! I don’t have a dog in the fight because I live in a college basketball centric area but Heat fans are the cosmetically altered mutant offspring of literally one of the 3-5 worst sports cities in the country. Your superstars are the least likeable in the league by far and come across as the most smug with the personalities of spoiled private school kids all grown up.
Miami and the whole south beach scene has a bit of a jersey shore on steroids vibe to it that to normal non freak people unlike yourself is just annoying. Yes there are many hot women but they don’t make up for the horrible attitude and general smugness of the entire city. Some people love South Beach but I have yet to understand why? Maybe if you are super rich and can throw around enough money to make people like you , then it’s cool.
Also please don’t say you are rabid or passionate fans either. The city has a flavor of the month culture that treats everything like commodities including people. You are as much of a bandwagon fan base as LA sports fans and lack way more class and are generally rude. People that pull against the Heat do because we believe in being genuine in life something the Heat franchise and city of Miami generally wants no part of. If Barkley seconds saying you suck I believe it 100%! One thing about Barkley whether you agree or disagree with him? He is always genuine and real.

BasterdInABasketParticipantI wont lie, this is me. I’m a Bucks fan first. When Lebron was in Cleveland I guess you could call the Cavs my second favorite team even though I don’t root for them at all now. It is a player-driven league and Lebron is my favorite/greatest/most entertaining player in the league so I follow him and whatever team he is on.
Regardless if you love or hate the Heat or Lebron, as a basketball fan it is amazing to watch what this team is capable of when theyre flying around on defense and clicking on offense.0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/04/2013 - 8:39am #790213

KayjayParticipantNeed to be like Raybeas, he’s got every reason to hate the flopping, call whining, lazy power house they call the Heat. Me I just can’t really bring myself to hate the Heat. Lol possibly because all that hate is transfered into the Lakers franchise.

SubZeroParticipantYou do realize Miami has had one of the easiest paths to the Finals ever, right? Milwaukee would lose in a series to 12-13 teams from the West, and the Bulls were missing their 2 best players and starting PG for most of the series. If Bosh and Wade actually played like Bosh and Wade, they would have won in 6 games against the Pacers. If either the Pacers or the Bulls were completely healthy, I’m not so sure that they wouldn’t have lost to either one of those teams.
Besides, where were you after Game 6? In the next year or 2 when they start their inevitable decline, you’re not gonna say another word about the Heat, nor will the whole city of Miami. Miami fans are the Alabama fans of the NBA lol

BasterdInABasketParticipantYeah and last year if Rose wasnt out they probably would have eventually beat the Heat and if the Thunders third best player showed up they wouldnt have lost in 5 games plus last year was a lockout so that season shouldn’t count at all. Theres a lot of what ifs surrounding every team every year, doesn’t mean they don’t deserve it.

WITNESS2014ParticipantWhat do you do when your favorite player has always been LeBron since he was in high school watching him play, but your a Cavs fan because your from ohio as well? Im not a Heat fan but a big time Lebron fan. I cant blame him for leaving he was a free agent and of course I wanted him to stay but he is his own man and had his choice. He didn’t leave in the best way, but lets be honest how many of us do some stupid things when were in our 20s? Im sure he could take the decision back if he could. Anyways the point I make is I think there are more Lebron fans rooting for the Heat than Heat fans rooting for the heat.

Forte IVParticipantI jumped on the Heat bandwagon in ’06 because of the performance Wade put on in the finals. But now because everyone hates the Heat I can’t say go Heat or w/e. Same thing with the Clippers. They’ve always been my favorite team since 2000 and now because of the whole Lob City thing I’m a bandwagoner for saying they’re my team.
0- Posted on: Tue, 06/04/2013 - 11:34am #790295
rwd5035ParticipantThe question I pose is who cares if people think you are hopping on the bandwagon if you actually aren’t?

LipstickParticipantI don’t mind the Miami Heat, but I can’t stand their fans or bandwagoners (whatever). Maybe it’s just from what I’ve seen on my Twitter and Facebook feeds, but they act like anyone who isn’t in love with the Heat are clones of Skip Bayless.
edit: yeah it’s probably my social network feeds 😐
edit: hopefully 😐

NickWayne87Participantbut I am a fan of one of the greatest basketball players i’ve ever seen get as many rings as he can to cement his legacy in basketball royalty. Hating LeBron would’ve been like hating Jordan something I never could’ve done. I didn’t particularly like the way the heat came together and that’s putting it LIGHTLY but I’m over it and don’t hate them for it. I personally wanted LeBron to retire a cav and bring a title to his hometown. But I will not root against him and his team just because. I’m not gonna pick the spurs to win the title JUST because either. They don’t match up with the heat as well as the pacers did….that pacer series was amazing the type of nail biting basketball series i like to see I’m a fan of basketball first and foremost and really couldn’t care less who won that series.
