Can things get better for them? Zbo is killing, mike conley is matching up pretty good against what many consider as the best point guard. Then they play either the rockets or okc in playoffs. Memphis puts tony allen on the best scorer and Prince could match up with durant.

Cant believe they gave up Ellington though. Right now they my favorites in West and to me the only team that could give the heat run, due to their inside out play.

I think Memphis can give

I think Memphis can give anyone trouble. Best defensive team that plays big is a rare combination. I disagree that they are the only team to give the HEAT a run for their money though. The size of Memphis could give the HEAT as kinds of problems, but the HEAT also don't have anyone to guard Tim Duncan or Tony Parker either. It will be a fun finals if the HEAT are playing the Spurs or Grizzlies and it seems like there is a pretty decent chance of that happening right now.

Lots of love for the Grizz.

Lots of love for the Grizz. Lots of optimism (cockiness?) here in town.

Now, this is the NBA and anything can happen. We still have to show up and play.

I think we need to get some solid bench play with either Q-Pon, Bayless, or DA going off. Otherwise this could go down to the wire. Q-Pon has been big for us when he has been healthy. He is basically our 7th man this year behind Bayless.

I want to see some more out of DA and Ed Davis. We will need those two guys if we get out of the first round.

I like Keyon Dooling and what he is bringing to the table. I would like to see 10 or so quality minutes out of him tonight. Tony Wroten tweeted that he has the flu and a toothache so he might not play.

What you have to like about the Grizzlies is that not only is Z Bo back to 2011 form, but Marc Gasol is playing like an MVP candidate and Conley is rolling. Tony Allen is locked in too. Defense, rebounding, some buckets.

Tayshaun Prince played very well in Game 5 with his floor spacing, smarts, facilitating, and dagger shots. Very Robert Horry-like.
Prince is giving us something we haven't had since Shane Battier. We could still use a little more help in scoring from the wing so it is imperative that Quincy Pondexter hits shots and attacks. Bayless may be our sixth man, but Q-Pon is our X factor off the bench with Ed Davis being the wild card.

well, the Warriors are still

well, the Warriors are still out there. They have quality players at all five spots on the floor. Then you have Jarrett Jack and Draymond Green plus Carl Landry off the bench. That's a tough squad.

If David Lee gets close to 80% or better then the rest of the West need to watch out. In this era, teams with shooters AND size can go a long way.

A potential Memphis vs. Golden State Western Conference Finals (which I would refer to as Golden State vs. Memphis State) would be bad for ratings, but awesome for hoops fans.
