I’m a huge UMD fan and I want to know your thoughts on Melo.

He does everything well on offense, sometimes he over dribbles but that’s because he’s the only playmaker on the team. He’s deadly in the pick and roll…can shoot, aggressive and works on defense.

I think he’s a for sure 1st round pick but how do you think he’ll fair in the NBA? I think he can start and for a team like Brooklyn or The Knicks too bad they don’t have picks.

I really like Melo.  The way he works the pick-and-roll reminds me a lot of how Damian Lillard does it.  I think he can be a solid starting PG in the NBA, and he’ll have a good amount of success if he has a top-tier big man he can work with.

I like him too. I can see him being a solid starter in the NBA, but I think he’d be best used as the first guard off the bench to jumpstart the second unit. He can play both guard spots, but I think his more natural position is SG. He should be in the running for POY. He reminds me a lot of Damian Lillard (I don’t think he’ll ever reach Lillard’s level though) and George Hill.

I think he is the most dangerous guard in the country with the ball in his hands (granted I have not seen much of Kris Dunn, and other players), but when he keeps his dribble alive, it’s almost 100% that something amazing is going to happen.  I like him as a high level combo backup.

I love Melo.  As a unc fan I have mad respect for the guy.  He lit us up and put Nate Britt, a pretty good defender on skates.  He had a ton ofnturnovers but he balled out on Carolina.  He was nailing threes all game and wasn’t hitting the rim on any of them.  I think he’s definitely a first round talent and I believe he could be a good nba player.  Not an all star, but it think he can be very good.

I think he is a good second unit guard.. a better George Hill. I think defensively he will struggle for that reason I would take Kris Dunn over him. If a team drafts him to be there starting PG they are going to need some great defensive players beside him.

    Trey burke-Darren Collison role.

Good thing he’s improving his passing game, he already had the 3pts shooting and the high volume of FT.

Bulls need a legit back up PG,  Dunn was automatic with the kings pick, they won’t, so Trimble with their own pick…

    Clipps-wizards…

I know Brandon Jennings is left handed but I can see some Brandon Jennings in Melo Trimble. The slender build, the dribbling and ball skills outside of the key setting up an offense, shot selection and stroke.

I wasn’t blown away watching Melo Trimble, I would take Dunn over him….
