providencefriars1ParticipantHappenned against Creighton today… colossal news per Clark Kellogg on TruTV. This probably ends UNC’s season. I guess Stilman White runs the point? Or maybe Barnes?

TomShoeParticipantThat’s too bad. A gif to remember him.
But I have a bet with my friend that whoever’s team won the tournament wins cash. I picked Michigan St. He picked UNC. YESSSSSSSSSS

PrecociousNeophyteParticipantIs there a video anywhere of it? I missed what happened, I turned the game off once UNC starting blowing them out.

Meditated StatesParticipantMaybe Barnes will surprise us. Teams are going to press them.

uknationParticipantThat ends their title hopes. That’s one guy they couldn’t afford to lose

LawDeeZeeParticipantdevastating! that’s real unfortunate … already not a deep team and that’s probably the position where their depth is the weakest. they’ll have to change their whole style probably, they don’t have another guard on that roster who can "run baby run" the way roy likes to do.
oh yea … i also had them in winning it all, FML!

jmarg25ParticipantThat’s really terrible for them considering it was a blowout anyway. They could afford to lose Strickland but without Marshall, they won’t be the same without him.

aamir543ParticipantDevastating for UNC, but this is Barnes’ time to shine. This is the moment when great players shine. Will he demand the ball and run the point? This is his chance to do so.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantWell, this is Harrison Barnes’ time to show us if he’s Luol Deng or Paul Pierce.

Mr. 19134ParticipantReggie Bullock is going to have to play the point and has an opportunity to play himself into a 1st round pick if he plays it well. I think he will. Bullock is the fastest guy left on the roster with the ball in his hands and most likely have the best court vision. It’s really weird how UNC virtually has no other PG’s on that whole roster…smh
But I agree that this is Barnes’ chance to write his own legend at UNC. I’m not sold on his passing ability tho.
I do know that UNC is going to have the tallest starting 5 in college next game.

rickybobbyParticipantIt happen with about 10 min left in the game but he kept playing until like the 1 minute mark. Oblivously this is going to be tough for UNC to handle. As for whose going to run the point i think its going to be a compination of guys. We saw Watts play point some in the ACC tournament. But if Marshall cant play period i say we start White but run the offense through Barnes.

Memphis MadnessParticipantHe could show me if the Joe Johnson comparison fits. Barnes posses good poise and a shot.
If he can run the offense some and pass and handle the ball then he will be a very coveted player
on draft night. He can make a name for himself as a big two guard who can handle the ball and also play some
small forward. UNC has enough offense plus some post players who can create their own shot inside. But, Barnes
has to step up and be THE leader of the team and the facilitator as well as the primary scorer similar to what Draymond Green
does for Michigan State.0 - Posted on: Sun, 03/18/2012 - 4:52pm #648823
Im Your FatherParticipantWhen has Barnes ever shown any ability to play point forward? Ball handling and his ability to create have always been considered his main weaknesses. He’ll certainly have the ball in his hands more, but I highly doubt that Roy Williams has Barnes running the offense.

aamir543ParticipantI could just imagine Marshall sobbing and begging doctors to let him play, telling them it’s the same thing Kobe had. He then takes a flight to LA, and asks Kobe how he played with it. Kobe looks at his wrist and says, "This is it? You’ll be fine, let me see you shoot." Marshall shoots, and the falls to the ground in pain, Kobe then says, "Dude, you a lefty? WTF are you crying about, it’s nothing, just a little scratch."

iguapops420Participant+1 Simply because I thought Kobe would think the same thing.
But in reality, I could actually see him bracing up and trying to stick it out. Sucks for KEndall though, National Championship down the drain and more than likely his stock took a slight hit in comparison to what could have been. Recently he’s found an ability to put points on the board, and IMO, had he been able to keep this up throughout the playoffs, I could have seen neither Phoenix or Utah passing on him come draft time. May still happen, but could have gotten him a top 10 lock.
