Must be tough for him out in KY

ChewyParticipantHe wasn’t ranked in the top 20 pg in college, but will be one of the top 20 players selcted in the draft. I understand why, but it is just funny to me.

HaleParticipantIt’s because he hasn’t played that well. Just because he was a 5 star and plays for Kentucky doesn’t mean he should make that list.

FastAndFuriousParticipantHe was rated a top 20 PG coming into the season, but now he’s not, seems like everyone thinks he’s playing bad, or just think he’s not that good

HaleParticipantI’m not making that statement towards you. Just in general, 10 ppg and 4.5 apg isn’t good enough to make the list. Yes, I believe he was overhyped. He’s athletic but he isn’t that good as a pg and isn’t a good shooter, but he will continue to improve and still be a high pick in the draft.

FastAndFuriousParticipantI’m not saying he should or shouldnt make the list, its just weird he hasnt gotten it yet, Knight,Wall,Rose,Evans all was on that list, and its just odd that the #1 PG, a McDonalds AA and a player that athletic cant get it together.
Was he overhyped?

FastAndFuriousParticipantI posted about his draft stock the other day, I think he still will be lottery, he just isnt playing that good right now.

Malik-UniversalParticipantif his mediocore play continues, he needs to return to school
unless he has a huge march
im not saying hes selfish, but he needs to understand to SLOW DOWN, and RUN THE OFFENSE, and IMPROVE YOUR JUMPER
hes shown some improvement since the beggining of the season… doesn’t need to make the spectactular play… he has lots of talent around him… despite teague playing mediocore, kentucky is still a very good team, a final four fav… show scouts u know how to utilize the talent that surrounds u, hes gotten better, and will improve

FastAndFuriousParticipantWhats funny about the whole situation is that, I heard Teague has never gotten team concept, even in HS he was me,me,me thats why he was 4th finalist in Mr.Basketball award, and he really made is name in AAU not for winning at the HS level.

sheltwon3ParticipantI think most players unless they are polished after one year should stay until they are ready especially with how deep this coming draft is. A lot guys like Whiteside, Cory Joseph could have earned a lot of money had they waited some. Whiteside is lucky he got drafted by a team who is going to be patient with him because they need his size. Joseph may be out just like that. Avery Bradley could join him.

For_Never_EverParticipantPeople compare him to so many great PG. But the person he should be compared to is his own brother.

FastAndFuriousParticipantI dont think he compares to Jeff
Jeff is a better shooter, ball handler, and more explosive.
There is nothing in common between them besides the last name.
Watch a UK game and watch a 2008-09 Wake game, or just watch Jeff’s Wake highlights and watch Marquis’s AAU highlights, they are brothers thats it, I dont think they have the same game or even close to it.
There games are different, Jeff can hit you with a move and stick the mid range jumper or the long three in transition, off the dribble or spotting up, Jeff dunked on many dudes in college, and exploded through the lane and rose up for dunks, he could go either way and got to the free throw line at a high rate and knocked them down, also Jeff’s handle is very very crafty in iso, or pick and roll situations.
Marquis cant shoot a lick, and while he can handle the ball, he is more raw speed and power, he is explosive but he doesnt get up like Jeff did, and he doesnt get to the line as much as Jeff did.
They dont even have the same style of play.

Malik-UniversalParticipantjeff teauge and marquis dont have the same game

Future_Scouti really thought teague would do better after i saw his first games, even though he turned the ball over there was no1 that can stay in front. i thought he would learn how to penetrate more efficiently.

FastAndFuriousParticipantThank you, the only thing Marquis and Jeff have in common is their last name
