Lauri Markkanen has been on a terror! If it wasn’t for Ben Simmons, Lauri would probably win ROY. He is currently averaging 16 pts 9rebs 1ast but is taking 7 3’s per game and hitting at a 38% clip. On a dreadful bulls team with No Lavine. The bulls got alot of sh!t handed to them for trading for Lauri when Monk, DSJ and Donavan Mitchell on the board still but they actually faired pretty well.

Kyle Kuzma is Definetely the biggest steal of the draft. I remember he his name a lot as a sleeper pick around the draft maybe taken around the late teens maybe around the picks where the kings took Justin Jackson or a chance on Giles. He is not the blistering shooter as Lauri from deep and dosent possess his size and is more of a Combo forward but he has been great. Since inserted in the starting line up for the Lakers he has avg 17 pts 12.5 rebs. 15 pts 6 rebs on the year.

Both players look to be the Future at the 4 position. Who is better Currently? And who will have the better career? Are there any All-star Appearances or All NBA teams in their future or will they just mount out to Solid Starters?

Watching most of the Lakers games so far Kuzma has blown me away with how offensively skilled he is and how easily he can score and in a variety of ways. Kid is atheltic and can flat out shoot, both have future All Star potential.

If you’re asking me who i would pick its obviously Lauri he’s 2 years younger and 3 inches taller yet just as athletic.  Hes also putting up better numbers with more efficiency.

This is like asking Dirk or Antawn Jamison.

I‘m pretty sure that 10 games into their careers respectively you would have picked Jamison over Dirk who had a poor rookie season so this doesn’t mean much who looked better early on. A whole career is not a race but more of a marathon. A good start is nice to have and in most cases players continue to improve but that doesn’t need to be true all the time. Okafor had a more then solid rookie season but what do we have now? MCW is another example of a young player who’s career stagnated and he wasn’t able to improve his flaws. Maybe blame the Sixers for all of this but in the end the players are responsible for what they do and what they don’t.

I like both Lauri and Kyle as promising prospects. Kyle is more mobile and to me a little bit more versatile but Markannen is a true seven footer with a very good perimeter game for his age and some advanced scoring instincts. People nowadays seem to forget that it’s still kind of a new thing to be this tall and be able to shoot the ball this well on a regular basis, especially at this age. The fact that Lauri is younger might be a plus for many but I don‘t care that much tbh. The younger player in theory has more room to grow but it‘s not like Kuzma is 24 or 25. I like them both and for me it‘s hard to decide who will have the better career and a lot will depend on what the Lakers do the next couple of years with Randle, their picks and cap room.

Yeah but in this case 10 games into the season Dirk is having a better rookie year, avg more production on better efficiency.

Everything is in Lauris favor production, age and physical tools.
