Fredette About ItParticipantWhat is wrong with this guy.. some pretty good talent.. A starting foward without a doubt.. a xfactor anyone could use.. Now im not saying whatever happened between him and Archie Goodwin was strictly his fault.. But things got heated in the huddle.. Archie sitting down you can see Kieff get frustrated and once he threw his mouth guard in the team stepped in.. a push and semi "choke" (push to he throat) was totally uncalled for.. He has to know hes under so much scrutiny and this isnt the play ground.. You can even tell after they get separated and the coach went to Kieff, just his reaction he knew he messed up..
What do you do with a player like that.. clearly wanted out of Phoenix from the start of the year.. traded his brother and got disgruntled.. has got into arguments with team mates and coaches.. now physical altercations with teammates..
Couldn’t have come at a worse time right before trade deadline.. Contending teams that need a guy like him (Cavs, Rapts and others were interested) clearly dont want the hassle that he could bring.. He has talent and a great contract.. But is the risk worth the reward.. I think not.. even a organization like the Spurs couldnt handle or wouldnt want to.. I think its best to tell him to stay home for rest of the season.. take the L with him.. Unless brother Marcus begs SVG to bring him in but goodluck.. Could be a perfect fit in Detroit for pennies on the dollar but not worth it..

For_Never_EverParticipantI don’t what happened before the incident that made him go off like that towards Goodwin. But i liked that Goodwin didn’t back down, and wasn’t going to have it.

dremill24Participant(before being physically handled) he was mad that everybody was on his case for no less than 3 blatantly pathetic instances of a lack of effort to start the game.
Kieff is a sorry professional but the initial interaction came from a place of trying to hold him accountable for REALLY bad play. Of course Archie had already been ripped into by multiple coaches and pulled out of the game, so even when Kieff is coming from a reasonable place he still messes it up.
Then of course he takes it to a whole new level of douchery by putting his hands on Archie, cause he’s Markieff and just a total tool

For_Never_EverParticipantI don’t get the chance to watch many Suns game being in the East Coast. I thought Archie Goodwin was playing really well because all I see is his highlights on NBA TV.

dremill24ParticipantHes playing better than he ever has..which isn’t saying much, but still. In my opinion, he’s benefiting from the major green light and tons of minutes. He does some nice things, and has some decent games, but there’s a lot of players who could do the things he’s doing with the kind of freedom and playing time he gets. He’s playing out of position, which doesn’t help, but he’s getting a lot of experience that should help him down the road. But all the people who claim he’s some great player NOW are kidding themselves.

IlladelphParticipantThe guy is a bad actor, and needs to be released. He is horribly selfish and immature, and his slightly above average talent does not make up for it. He essentially sandbagged it when Horny was the coach because Horny didn’t kiss his butt, and called him out on his bad attitude. Throwing a towel in the coach’s face isn’t something that a high character player would do. Deliberately playing below your potential while getting paid millions because you are mad your brother got traded away is pathetic. It hurt the team badly, and probably helped Hornacek get fired too. Then as soon as Earl Watson comes in, he starts playing like the pro talent he is??? Seriously??? How ridiculously transparent is that?
But the worst part of it is that he has Archie Goodwin thinking that he actually cares about him. That he just push/choked him during a game on national TV because he loves him, and it’s just a big brother thing. Atrocious. Sadly, Goodwin is buying that and now thinks that kind of behavior is acceptable.
Markieff Morris is selfish, immature, and a team cancer. I would just cut him loose. The season is already over for Phoenix. Just give the young guys minutes and go on into sixers style tank mode. How long is PHX going to cater to the guy. Is he worth burning the house down for? I just don’t get it. Give him the Beasley treatment and let him go. Addition by subtraction.

For_Never_EverParticipantArchie Goodwin is the only reason why I watch Suns game to be honest. Because he does have potential to be a top SG in the league in the future. I’m not saying it’s going to happen, but its there.

TRC1991ParticipantThe Suns have to do something. It doesn’t help that Chandler has been bad, Warren and Bledsoe got hurt, Knights been hurt, Alex Len hasn’t progressed, Tucker still gets undeserved minutes, the whole thing is a bad disaster

OaktownWarriorsParticipantWith so many players out for the season, the Suns season is done before the All Star break. Not sure what changing coaches is going to do? Phil Jackson couldn’t coach this team to .500, so not sure why they couldn’t wait to the end of the season to fire and hire a new coach? The Morris twins have a track record of issues, dating back to Kansas. I understand that Goodwin should’ve ran back and covered his guy, after taking a bad shot. But the entire vibe of that team right now isn’t good. I would trade Morris for a draft pick and keep on working on bringing up their young talent, which is pretty good, Warren, Booker, Len and Goodwin have some skills.

bmac697ParticipantPlease Toronto stay away, Talent yes, would he be a good fit yes. But the amount of baggage he has out weighs the positives. I think the fight with goodwin last night shows he is still the same imature kid.
