ChicagoCaseyParticipantI know that they lost the game, but Markelle Fultz put on a show that game. He scored 30 points (10/17 from the field, 2/5 from 3), grabbed 7 rebounds, and dished out 6 assist. He was a litte anxious to start out the game, but when he started to be aggresive, he looked like he could be the best player in college basketball. He showed the entire package for what you want to be the number one pick. He did get beat a couple times on backdoor cuts, mostly all of Washington players did.
I won’t say this was in fact a bad lost, because Yale should still compete to make the tourney this year, they have 3 outstanding starters (w/o Makai Mason) and a great system that they run. I’m disappoited in the coaching in Romar in how his lineup was put together. I don’t know why you play 2 big men in today’s college basketball when you have a bad defense. Stop trying to play Dime w/ Dickerson and the other center on the roster. They need to go small, so at least they have speed on defense and won’t have Dime guarding perimeter players.
Going back to Fultz, he showed a complete game last night. He shot the ball well, he posted up a few times, he got to the line, finished around the basket, and created for his teammates. He got that take over mentality, even if he don’t look like he’s fully engage, like Dame Lillard and old Derrick Rose. He shown why he’s projected to be a top pick and he showed it against a team that should be a Tourney team. I believe he had the best debut out of all the major conference freshman. I know Lonzo Ball was phenomenal, but Fultz look like an elite, special prospect.

holefillers1ParticipantI love this kids game. He is like a bigger more athletic version of CJ McCollum. Sixers call dibs

TheMOSTHATEDoneParticipantHe doesnt play like Dwade as per comparison, he is less explosive, but has more range, both seems to share the contesting shots making ability.
Nice player, i see him more as a modern 2, great scoring instincts. Lets see he can maintain this type of production to compete with Lonzo and the others.
