Just wanted to give a quick s/o to Marcus Denmon, 6’3" shooting guard for the UNDEFEATED Missouri Tigers. This guy is one of the most efficient scorers in all of college basketball. His current stat line reads as so…20ppg 5rebs 55% FG, 49% 3P, 91% FT.  Im not sure of his draft stock due to him being an undersized shooting guard. Ive seen on some mocks wheres hes projected as a late first rounder but it is still very early in the season. The guy can flat out score though and this is his senior season so for anyone who hasnt heard of him just check out a Mizzou game this year…

I think he can be a late second rounder with Ratliff.  I think Kim English is the best pro prospect on that team because of his size and defense, but Denmon can really fill it up and shoot which is always something GM’s will look at.  Combo guards and undersized SG’s are becoming more and more common in the NBA compared to 10-15 years ago, and Denmon is 6’3” ish ( I think, don’t have time to look it up) which isn’t tall by any means but it’s not like he’s 6′ or 6’1”.  He has a shot to get drafted, and if not, he’ll be playing in Summer League because he is a very high caliber NCAA player.

I see him as an early to mid 2nd rounder. Smart players who consistently drop 20+ and have 0 turnovers in their stat lines are few and far between. He isn’t a lightning athlete, but he is a smooth player. And while he is a good shooter he shoots almost a set shot, which at his height could be troublesome at the next level. He could be a good half court set backup at the next level, and he is definitely worth a 2nd round pick to find out.

Denmon is a tough guard, I like his game. He’s undersized for a combo guard from an NBA perspective at about 6’2 210-215, but he’s a very good college guard. One of the 3-5 best guards in the nation IMO. He’s a pretty good shooter with great footwork and touch spotting up, off curls/screens, and off the bounce, he’s a tenacious defender on or off the ball, and he is a solid but not great athlete who gets out on the breaks because alot of his defense turns into offense. He’s unselfish and works well without the ball and can score off screens. He’s a very solid all-around player, but he might be too undersized to be a very good NBA prospect, because he’s not a PG really. At 6’2 that might not be good enough, especially since he’s not all that athletic or quick.
