    http://zagsblog.com/articles/malik-newman-list-five-schools-for-package-with-diamond-stone/

    1. UConn
    2. Kansas
    3. Kentucky
    4. N.C. State
    5. Miami

While many would love to see Newman take his talent to the schools listed 1-3, I actually prefer to see him down in Raleigh paired up in the backcourt with Cat Barber to bring a very dynamic punch in the ACC next year. I think those two guys would bring the best out of each other with the change of pace style of play they both possess.

That isnt his list, thats just 5 schools that have been recruiting him and Stone as a package. Shouldn’t mislead people like that.

I apologize because I mislead myself as well then. I took it as his narrowed it down once he listed those 5. Thank you for the clarification.

I think UK has had him for a while, he is trying to convince Stone to go with him is the word.

As of late, guys that seem like Kentucky locks seem to commit elsewhere. Once upon a time Wiggins was but then he reclassfied and went to Kansas, Emmanuel Mudiay was a "HARD" lock for Kentucky but then Cal’s mentor Larry Brown got him to commit to SMU. Luke Kennard visited Kentucky seemingly every other weekend and his family seemed to have loose ties but then he spent a weekend in Durham, drank the kool-aid then became a Blue Devil.

I’m a Kentucky guy and looking at what Malik said about him and Stone wanting to contribute right away makes UK look less likely because UK may still have a loaded front court even though the back court could potentially be thin.

Wiggins was never a lock for Kentucky. It was Kansas for sure because thats where he ended up. Florida State because his parents went there and Kentucky because they recruit every 5 star recruit and gather consideration.
