Seems like Mclemores shooting would fit better. However with such a young team you need someone to set an example and that would be Oladipo.

His draft stock is falling faster than an Narcoleptic on a NyQuil triple shot. So not only was his work non-terrific in Orlando, his work out in New Orleans was horrific.

Same thing happend to Andre Drummond man. Players slip in the draft every year and the are considered steals but really they were ranked pretty high previous to workouts. but you are right… you must really effing up if you are getting overlooked by the Suns, Hornets and Cavs. Haha He has got to be doing something horribly wrong to slip so fast, is it his attidude or what?

Teams are valuing defense more. The playoffs showed that defense is vital to success. How much more valuable is Ben McLemore than, say, Marshon Brooks or JR Smith? SG’s that can defend like Olidapo are much rarer. I really hope the Bobcats grab him because him and MKG on the wings defensively would actually be fun to watch.

Again same situation with Harkless. A little redundant and isnt a good match on offense. Also Ben Mclwmore is no Jr or Marshon Brooks man. Far better between the ear and a lot better of a defender

I don’t think this is an Andre Drummond situation. In fact, it’s kind of the reverse. People slept on Drummond because of his lack of college production and failure to meet expectations, McLemore was only in consideration for the #1 pick because he produced in college and exceeded expectations.

But now that people are getting a closer look at him they are realising he’s not as great as everyone thought.

I’m not a fan of Oladipo or McLemore as Top 3 picks, I think Shabazz Muhammad will be better than both, and he’s the real Andre Drummond/Harrison Barnes of this draft.

Ook I wasn’t on this site at the time but I thought Drummond was going to the Bobcats at 2 and wouldnt slip past 3.

I think Oladipo’s Offensive potential is underrated, he may mostly be a defensive Guard at the moment, But I see a lot of potential for him on the offensive end with his athleticism and improving jumpshot.

But if McLemore falls past 5 somehow, where does he go? 6,7,8 don’t need a SG. What a steal that’d be for Minnesota.

Pistons wouldn’t let McLemore get to Minnesota. They have a need for shooting and if he drops he definitely won’t get past them.

Trust me. His mid range game is gonna lead to a lot of points. He handles it better than people think and will have the spacing to prove it in the L. Buckets and serious D is what he will give you. Watch.

If you watch any interview with Ben McLemore than you’ll understand why he’s slipping. There isn’t a huge gap between him and Olidipo as far as talent really. McLemore has a much more natural shooting ability but that’s pretty much his only advantage over Dipo. Dipo defends better, is at least an equal athlete(I believe he is a better athlete). And unlike McLemore, when he doesn’t feel comfortable with the ball on a given night, ie; his shot is off or he’s just not feeling it, he still contributes in other areas. McLemore got tons of heat for his terrible showing in those tourney games because he wasn’t scoring, he doesn’t really get his self shots and he isn’t a facilitator so if his shot isn’t falling than he disappears. Dipo does those other things well so he is never taken out of a game. McLemore also does not seem very intelligent or mature in interviews whereas Olidipo seems ready to handle himself in the nba, on and off the court.

    Just to clear something up:

McLemore has never worked out for the Pelicans. He did interview with them over the weekend. However, there have been no reports as to how the interviews went, or what came out of them. So no one knows what they think of him. He will also be interviewing with Sacramento this week.

And don’t think because the Pels have Gordon they won’t pick BM. If he’s there, they will pick him if his interviews were remotely decent. They are not huge fans of Gordon at this point, and neither are the fans. And BM has a different skillset.
