McClung droppped 47 points in the state title game.  I saw the hilights and the guy was balling out.  No matter what you think of McClung, Gate City, a small school in SW Virgina is extremely impressive.  Predict Mac’s career at Georgetown.

I think he’s going to struggle his freshman year and figure out that his game doesn’t really fit at Georgetown. I think he’ll end up transferring to a smaller school (maybe Memphis or VA Tech) that lets him be “the man” and put up a lot of points. I think he’ll then have a Jimmer Fredette-type senior year that makes it obvious he can score, but isn’t a natural distributor. He’s going to have to prove he can do more than just score to be a legit NBA prospect.

VA Tech and Memphis are smaller than Georgetown? What have the Hoyas done at all recently to make you think that? Fact is that Mcclung is walking into a great situation… a team with literally no decent guards. Ewing has already said that Mcclung will get the keys to the car. He most likely will struggle his freshman year, but that experience will be perfect for him and Georgetown. Mcclung gets minutes and experience anf the Hoyas get buzz and butts in seats. He is a 4 year plyer and by no means a guranteed pro, but he can be a program changer in terms of attitude, profile and work ethic.
