Dc773ParticipantShould Bulls take Luke Babbit over James Anderson?

JNixonParticipantNo. The Bulls should take Anderson over Babbitt. Babbitt will make a good bench player for a team, but Anderson is going to be a true starting SG. He’s the best shooter in the draft IMO.

MrAnalystNo he is comparing those players to Babbit obviously…How dumb are you two? Clearly Van Horn, Ryan Anderson, and a white Rashard Lewis is comparable to Babbit. Guru, for one, James Anderson is black….unlike Van Horn, Ryan Anderson, and a WHITE Rashard Lewis. And for TLI, I don’t even know what you were thinking. You just don’t make sense you must have a 75 I.Q. like Forrest Gump hahahha. Just playin’ fella’s but it’s quite obvious…don’t know what you two were thinking. Wish I had the drugs you two had hahahahahahahah!!!!

tli232I think that Babbit is a lot like Louis Amundson. I’m not saying that they’ll be the same effectiveness, but similar style. Babbit is NOT going to be driving down the lane or post up guys in the NBA just because of his lack of NBA athleticism. He does, However, have the 3 point shot down. He will most likely make his living being a spot up guy who hustles, in the mold of Linus Kleiza.
BTW, the comparison made by that guy don’t seem realistic as Babbit is like 6’8" at best and those guys he mentioned are all 6’10" plus. 2 inches make all the difference in the world (that’s what she said) being a 3/4 in the league.

OhCanada-ParticipantHow can you possibly in the right mind compare a 3 point specialist to Amundson
Hes a glorified Matt Bonner, Brian Scalabrine, Matt Garrity type player.

OhCanada-ParticipantHes gonna be a good role player in the NBA for a long time in my opinion.
Everybody likes a 4 who hussles and stretches out the defense with perimeter shooting.

Zeke33ParticipantIve played with and against Luke Babbitt. Louis Amundsen might be the worste comparison ever. I have never in my life seen Amundsen shoot a 3 and Babbitt doesnt hustle like him at all. Luke will be very similar to a better shooting Lamar Odom or Danillo Gallinari. He has everything and is a very underrated athlete. i think hel be a solid starting role player on any team. hel surprise alot of people and hes the hardest worker ive ever seen. Hes a point forward. Hes gunna make a good name for himself and the Reno area for sure. Louis Amundsen?? haha wtf

llperezLuke babbit and louis amundson? Thats like comparing boobies to bags of sand, come on. Anyways, i like babbit. He has a nive pull up off the dribble and has a little more foot speed then most of the guys being mentioned on here. He might not be a starter, but a solid sf off the bench who can shoot. Dont like him going to the tbulls because they probably want to develop james johnson a little before they give up on him.

rtbtParticipantThank you LeMay33 for being the first guy in this thread to make a comparison to a black guy. Everyone else is doing what’s typical, comparing white guys only to other white players, even when the comparison is absurd.

Zeke33Participantagreed. just because he is white doesnt mean u have to compare him to just another white player… if so that narrows it down to about 10 percent of the league to compare him to haha

WildDudeParticipantLuke Babbitt I believe is a better shooter as indicated by stats… but there is no doubting James Anderson’s ability to score, IMO he’s the best pure scorer in the draft although he has shown a lot of inconsistency throughout his career, had he closed the season better than just scoring 11 points on 0-6 on 3s we’d be talking about him for a lottery pick, but I believe that last game caused his stock to take a dip…

JNixonParticipantHe’s too big a liability on D for me to say I’d take him over take over Anderson, and he’s not going to shoot 50% in the NBA. Won’t get to the rim or finish as well as he did against WAC defenders in the NBA. Not athletic or strong enough. Anderson projects much better because he can score/shoot well in a variety of situations (of screens, curls, pick and roll, and off of 1-3 dribbles), also a good enough athlete to defend and finish at the rim with the same effectiveness he did in college. Babbitt will have to be a shooter to stick. No other real value in the NBA

JNixonParticipantThat last game shouldn’t have effected his stock like it might. Georgia Tech double teamed him and threw alll likes of gimmicks at him on D. That won’t happen in the NBA, because he’ll be a complimentary scorer. And it was only one game. Why would you throw out how he played in the previous 30+ games?
