Mr. BasketballParticipantIn my opinion, Luke Babbit seems like a guy who will be an instant offense, great energy guy off the bench. I think he can be a great sixth man in the way Manu Ginobili is. They are both craft, left handers who shoot in the same style and have similar games except that babbit is more explosive. they are both high IQ players that shoot well and aren’t great defenders. i believe due to his bad lateral quickness on defense, babbit would be best suited to be a sixth man like ginobili because he could be a major bench contributor with his offense, energy, and basketball IQ. What do you think?

nateoak10ParticipantBabbit is either a small Troy Murphy or Ryan Andersen

Mr. BasketballParticipantno hes not troy murphy isnt very athletic and he isn’t very good at dribbling. ryan anderson isn’t much other than a tall shooter. babbit is very skilled offensively. unlike those two, he is a crafty player.

Zeke33ParticipantI know Luke personally and played with and against him in HS and the Manu Ginobili comparison is by far the worste comparison ever. Luke is 6 foot 9 and will never play the 2 guard spot. he’l always be a 3 or a short corner 4. Manu plays 2 and at times the 1. Youll never see Babbitt playing a 1. Manu is 10 times quicker and way more athletic. I know Lukes vert came out to like a 37 but he doesnt use it like Manu does. If Luke plays like anyone is a Danillo Gallinari or better shooting Lamar Odom. Or even a Walt Williams type player. as far as the 6th man thing you talked about i can see him being a 6th man but i do think he will be a very solid starter after a few years

Adi JosephHe reminds me of Keith Van Horn more than anyone, with a bit more quickness and a bit less size.

ilike.panochasParticipantBest comparison I can think of for Babbitt is Detlef Schrempf. Although Babbitt’s 3 point shot is a little more advance than Detlef at the same stage.

M-DYMESParticipantI don’t see much comparisons to anyone else’s game, but if I had to pick one I would go with Keith Van Horn as well. People forget how good Keith was too. He avg. over 19 pts as a rookie and had close to a 22 ppg 8.5 rpg season season. He was a huge factor for the Nets back when they ran with J-Kidd/K-Mart and then Richard Jefferson.
