Luke Babbit

After the combine results, does anybody think Babbit goes in the 8-10 range or maybe even higher. I mean hes proven he has speed decent athleticism and can shoot so i think maybe Golden State may entertain the thought of choosing him. Hes NBA ready and with his suprising Combine numbers there's probably more potential there than people think. Maybe even the Kings would think of taking him who knows. I guarantee he doesnt get past the Pacers. Babbit did exactly what the Pacers were hoping that Hayward would do at the combine: prove hes not a slow sharpshooting whiteboy with no hops. LB has definitley boosted his stock in the last few days that is fosho

Indiana could take him number

Indiana could take him number 10 because he can play the 4 spot but honestly Indiana is looking at 2 spots they have people at. Hayward at the 3 and Luke Babbitt at the 4. Luke could maybe replace Murphy though.

If you look at the team in the top 10 beside clippers and Indiana, I dont really see anyone that would take him. It is not to say he is not good but where would he fit.

Sacramento?

Well im not sayin this will happen but why not the Kings. U already got Reke there for your franchise player and I think Luke has the potential to be a number 2 option on a good team, They already have Thompson and Hayward at the 4 and 5. With the numbers he put up at the combine I think hes proven hes more than able to defend the 3. Now the odds of this happening are slim to none but if they did i wouldnt think it was a bad idea.

Utah

I think Luke ends up in Utah, to be honest. Sloan loves guys like him and has probably seen a lot of his games out there on the west coast. The Jazz don't have any huge holes and I think that Luke could play the 3 and be very successful. He has a great deal of upside but can be a player that contribute right now as the 7th man on the Jazz squad. Sloan is notorious for making rookies earn their minutes but Luke can definitely stroke it and would benefit playing alongside a stud like Williams. With Milsap at the 4 and Luke at the 3 it would negate a bit of Milsaps smaller size as well. If I was a betting man I'd put Luke to the Jazz.

I agree with you man but idk i think Luke has it to start right away. Hed fit right in with their offense and even tho the folks at this site seems to think hes not NBA ready I believe that he is. I think hes as much of a sure thing as anyone outside of Wall, Favors or Turner. Now your not getting a franchise player but if hes in Utah he doesnt need to be. I could see him puttin up 10-14 points a game 5 boards if they picked him and let him play

jake10 Utah thing is iffy.

jake10 Utah thing is iffy. They have Kirelenko and maybe sign Kolver back. Their real big need is size. Babbitt can play 4 but he is not the kind of 4 they need. Utah would do well to take Aldrich, Orton, or Monroe if available. Also i am not sold on Babbitt defending NBA 3's just yet. I think he can hang with most though but I believe it will be a least 3 year before he can defend NBA 3's. He will have a better chance defending 4's but doesnt have the size for some of them. He is not a naturally good defender at all and combine stats will not make him that. I think offensively he can come in a help team right away though. Clippers and Indiana are you most likely places if he goes top 10.
