These guys are all probably the most important players for top 25 college teams. However, all seem to have limited NBA potential due to physical limitations.

Georges Niang- Outstanding passer and feel for the game. Excels in college due to his ability to take bigger players away from their comfort zone and extremely crafty around the basket. However, he’s too small to play the four in the NBA and not a good enough athlete to play on the wing.

Kyle Wiltjer- Outstanding shooter and overall skill set but lack of strength and athleticsm would make him a liability at the next level

Perry Ellis- Tweener. Too small to play the four and not skilled enough to play the three

Marcus Paige- Lacks explosiveness. Not really a true point guard but too small to play the two.

Ron Baker-Tough, heady player but probably not athletic enough. Could maybe latch on to a team as a spot shooter in limited minutes.

I like George’s Niang, he’s a great player and all, but I highly doubt he ever makes an NBA roster. People have compared him to Draymond Green, but he doesn’t have the length nor the athleticism (very below average athlete) to be even close to Draymond.

as a college player and hate him as an NBA prospect. Agree with you completly there. He is going to have great numbers when all is said and done at KU. He has been producing for them since he got there.

Believe it or not, but Andrew Harrison goes on this list. He’s too much of a scorer that lacks fluidity. Most of the time he tries to muscle his way instead of having a natural feel at the 1 to get off a good shot in legit spots. He may struggle at the next level if he does not add more to his repitoire, quick-fast in a hurry. Right now, I throw him in that Ed Cota trail. If one chooses to throw Tyreke Evans name around, his ball-handling pushes himself ahead by a long-shot in comparison to An. Harrison.

I agree that Andrew Harrison belongs on that list, but what do you mean by Ed Cota trail?

I am not sure if that is a comparison of the two players.  Cota was a wizard with the basketball, short and had an IQ out of this planet.  Problem was that he was short, an average athlete and had no jump shot.  One of my favorite UNC players of all time.

Harrison just bullies his way into the paint, is a streaky shooter with a low bball IQ.

I just think that there’s always some guys who will crack a rotation but who were not big prospects. The beauty of it is that it is usually unpredictable, and we often hear that the NBA is also a matter of opportunity. I think Perry Ellis could be rotation player, too skilled to pass up in the second round. Don’t forget that those low weiling guys sometimes find a skill that they develop while in the NBA and become solid players(Dudley,Dramond wouldn’t be that good without their 3 pts shot). Maybe he won’t last long in the NBA but who thought Tarik Black would be such a good rebounder in the league? Sometimes it just translates without much explanation.
