Love for the Kings?

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/kings-willing-to-trade-for-kevin-love-witho...

Kevin Love to Sac Town for 8th pick and players. Thoughts? I really think the Kings should get experienced players and not head cases. Veterans who can play professionally not rookies/young players who need to be mature in the game.

While I'm ok with them going

While I'm ok with them going after Love and seeing if the have a fit with Cousins, I'm not sure it can work with Gay there and Thomas at PG. Depends on what they give up but if it is just a complimentary piece and the pick then I say go for it. If you make the playoffs I think Love could stay.

Mo better

They can possibly get much better haul for Love than #8 and players. Since the top 7 picks are considered the top tier(s) (and the fact that Mirotic would be a top 7 pick) Boston, Lakers, Chicago, and Cleveland could all offer more.

I also thought Love said he wanted to go to a contender.

The Lakers, Celtics and Bulls aren't title Contenders

The Cavs wouldn't be either with Love and Kyrie (although they would be very exciting)

I honestly think Love needs to play out his contract and SIGN with a team that puts him in the best situation over the next 4-6 years(Philadelphia with Parker/MCW/Noel or Sacramento with DMC/BMac/Smart)

No way does trading for Love put any team in title contention, Too many assets would have to go the other teams way

I'm sure Love would like to

I'm sure Love would like to play out his contract but the wolves can't and won't let an All-Star, All-NBA, rebounding champ, elite 3 point shooter go for NOTHING. A trade is coming. They may try to do push to get it done before the start of next season so its not looming over them and gets crazy like the Dwight fiasco. Gotta wait and see.

Destination Sacramento?

If I were Love I would rather play out play it out with Minnesota before I went to the Kings. They're clearly a franchise dealing with dysfunction at the moment. Minny has a better squad anyways. So in reality he'd be moving backwards because the Kings aren't winning anything anytime soon no matter who they manage to land through trades or FA. There's no telling how well Cousins will pan out (or how well they'd play together) ... he's still teetering on potential superstar & complete headcase.

On the other hand I did hear earlier from multiple sources that the Wizards have emerged as candidates to land K.Love. Now THAT would be something worth talking about... providing they don't give up Beal. That would make them far more dangerous than they already are.

I think Love needs to play on

I think Love needs to play on a defensive minded team to truely be a contender OR play on a up tempo team like the Suns. The problem as stated is there need to be a lot of players moved to make trade happen see the Bulls.

If I were the Wolves I would try to make a push for a trade sooner than later and I think Draft Day should be very exciting this summer.

Who protects the rim in Miami?

BIRDMAN? Joel Anthony? The Princess Bosh?

Every team doesnt need a Larry Sanders or Deandre Jordan or a Nerlens Noel* cough

Is it a luxary yes, but Every team doesnt need an athletic shot blocker in the middle, the Heat and Spurs prove that theory

IMO as a Homer, Love should play out his contract and sign with Philadelphia, he'd be the biggest fish in a very large untaped pond while playing in the weak Eastern Conference with blue chip prospects MCW/Noel/Parker/10th Pick

Heat and Spurs prove that

Heat and Spurs prove that theory? The Spurs at least have Timmy who can still protect the rim at his age. Birdman is one hell of a shot blocker. You don't need to be athletic to change shots. Neither Love nor Cousins can change or alter shots because guards aren't at all intimidated when they see those two when attacking the rim. They just don't have that shot blocking ability, thus not instilling fear and indecisiveness to attacking players.

Look what a difference Serge Ibaka can make in one game. The Blazers got way better defensively when they acquired Rob Lopez who can block and alter shots. Every team needs at least one shot blocker/ shot changer to be successful I believe.
