Louis Admundson says the Pacers interested in his services

Free Agent Louis Admundson says he is deciding between 3 teams Indiana ,New Orleans & Golden State..With the Warriors & Pacers pushing the hardest..

I know the Pacers are looking for a power forward since they traded away Murphy..

But i would expect them to go after a starter..Admundson skills are better suited to come off the bench..He's an energy ,hustling type of player..that'll more effective playing 15-20 minutes a night...
Unless they've already decided that 2nd year forward Tyler Hansbrough will be the starter...

I thought we were trying to

I thought we were trying to upgrade the position...

Hansbrough is basically Admundson with more scoring ability.

He doesn't really fill a void

He doesn't really fill a void for us though. Seems more like a backup PF. Jordan Hill would work in Indy IMO.

Well, what do you want Indy

Well, what do you want Indy to do? It's not like they can just go out and sign Dirk Nowitzki or something. They need someone to fill in for a year or 2 until they get a better PF---Not gonna happen overnight.

Three big expiring contracts

Three big expiring contracts can get you more than Amundson

I don't think Jordan Hill is

I don't think Jordan Hill is an upgrade from Hansbrough right now. Maybe in hope he develops down the line (which I think he can), but I don't think trading for Hill would help them much next year. If Hansbrough can stay healthy enough to get minutes I bet he could give them 13 and 8, I don't see Hill producing like that til at atleast 2011-2012.

Agreed...I see Hill being in

Agreed...I see Hill being in the same postion J.O. was in when he came to Indy...I'm perfectly fine with seeing what we have in Hansbrough though.

yeah, i dont think the pacers

yeah, i dont think the pacers are gonna be doing this thinking long term solution. Hes just a solid big who can provide hustle off the bench. Im sure he will be getting near the minnimum salary as well. Hansbrough will get first shot at starting. Pacers still have expiring deals in ford and dunleavy as well as posey only having 2 years left, so they can make moves in another year and use this season to get a look at the young guys like tyler, hibbert, collison, george and rush.

Very solid move. Agree with

Very solid move. Agree with the people above. I don't think Admundson should be the starter but it allows them to have a nice rotation of Hansbrough, Hibbert, Foster, Admundson, Jones and McRoberts
