JCliff24ParticipantYour favorite lottery team just won the lottery.
1. Who do you pick
2. Offseason moves to set up your overly optimistic/probably wont happen/ Best case scenario starting 5
CLEVELAND CAVALIERS:
Dante Exum tests incredibly well and goes number 1. Cavs then trade Kyrie and Tristan Thompson to Minnesota for Kevin Love and change. Lebron comes back.
STARTING FIVE:
PG: Dante Exum
SG: Dion Waiters
SF: Lebron James
PF: Kevin Love
C: Spencer Hawes
3pt% of those 4 minus Exum 36.8%, 37.9%, 37.6%, 41.6%

Flameres15ParticipantI have no favorite team, but if I was to choose a team (in the lottery) I would choose the Orlando Magic. They are the closest to the playoffs out of anyone in the East (even if their record does not show it).
They win the lottery and draft… Dante Exum. I have heard a few teams that say they would be interested in taking him with the top pick. He still remains the mystery player in the draft, but his measurements have been encouraging. I cannot see them drafting Embiid (I will get to that later), and Wiggins and Parker do not fit a need. Since they are close to being in the playoffs, need is more important than potential.
With the 12th pick the Magic select Aaron Gordon. He is a top-notch athlete and defender. His measurements brought hope for him to play the 4. This would negate the need for Embiid. Gordon could be the defender they need. The Magic have had success with tweeners before, and should have no problem with Gordon.
The Magic keep their veterans and make no moves. Instead they work on player development.
PG: Dante Exum
SG: Victor Oladipo
SF: Tobias Harris
PF: Aaron Gordon
C: Nikola Vucevic

BlueLacesParticipantHow are the Magic close to being in the playoffs? They just finished with the third worst record in the league.

CameronCrazy11ParticipantThe Pelicans aren’t my favorite team, but imagine if they won the lottery and drafted Joel Embiid.
Possible line-up going forward:
PG-Jrue Holiday
SG-Eric Gordon
SF-Tyreke Evans
PF-Anthony Davis
C-Joel EmbiidIf this team could stay healthy and played with good chemistry, we could be looking at a title contender in just a few years.

he_gets_bucketsParticipantYou are being INCREDIBLY optimistic if you think Dion and Thompson get Love from Minny.
