valentineI think Nets would have a punishing frontcourt by going with Cousins, instead of Wes Johnson. It would be a nightmare night in night out for opposing teams to deal with that length and size down low, kind of like Robinson Duncan, or even Bynum-Gasol. Then they can go get Gay,Salmons or Joe Johnson to fill the 3 hole.
Any thoughts?

JNixonParticipantCousins can’t defend like Robinson AT ALL, and Lopez doesn’t defend like Duncan did either. I do think that Lopez and Monroe would be very similar to Pau and Bynum though

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantI’m in the belief that Monroe is the guy…They want to trade down to get him maybe to the Kings or Warriors…

JazzinSLCParticipantBeing able to play the four. Duncan and Gasol have the unique ability to play a couple positions, but I don’t see either of those guys being anything but centers. I’m not sure you could play them together for long periods of time.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantlol…naw for real he’s a better fit with Lopez and Harris than anyone else…and he acn be a starter or 6th man and not complain about it…he’s the safest thing in the draft after Turner and Wall…Cousins is a Center and a possible headcase…he’s not in the right position and state of mind for the Brooklyn project…Favors is too raw and not really a player that can crack the rotation if they get a guy like Bosh,Amare,Lee or Boozer…with Yi being a cash cow and legit 7’0 with range he’d eat up Favors minutes…Monroe would take his spot on day 1 and not really effect Yi’s role as a backup…because Monroe could play either Sf/Pf or C off the bench and start at Pf if they get a lesser Pf like Lee to be the 6th man….And all his Wes Johnson at 3…Wes will either be another Wolves blown pick or the next Clippers stud that flames out…Favors will be a G State Warrior…..

Lopez game is very similar to Gasols, the pick and roll and mainly the bad defense part.
Cousins is allready as good or better then Bynum, but to start out as the shot blocker and dump down man will allow him to thrive early.
