And you have to really dislike Kobe if you're going to ignore how many big shots he's made during the final two minutes of games this post season. He missed the buzzer beater by inches vs OKC. The game winning attempt vs the Suns in game five was a catch and shoot fadeaway while he was double teamed...

Kobe may not be the youngest or the best freak athlete, but he is the best basketball player in the NBA hands down. He has a complete game. He doesn't have any weaknesses and you can't say that about LeBron. He plays through injury and doesn't complain... Doesn't let that hold him back. That's why he's playing in the Finals and LeBron will be at home watching... The same thing he was doing last year.

At least he has his two *regular season* MVP awards to keep him company.

i'll be honest, during the season i handed oiver the title as best to lebron. Kobe did not have a great year and lebron was fantastic as always. However, i always held a belief that kobe could pick up his game in the playoffs when he needed to. He has exceeded my expectations and has played arguably the best playoff ball of his career. The Kobe that we are seeing right now is without a doubt in my mind better then lebron.

he makes big shots...but he misses his fare share also..LeBron can miss a shot in the end of the game and people will rip him for days Kobe misses one and we dont even acknowledge it. I didn't hear a peep about Kobe missing game winners in the playoffs but when he makes one people ride him like crazy.

Don't even bring up championships yet. The dude hasn't played with one legit all-star EVER and he has already made celveland a competitor every year...be patient on that.

And I couldn't believe it when you gave LeBron the crown. I gave LeBron credit for having another great season. He was hands down the MVP of the regular season. I gave him credit for improving his on ball defense. I never handed him the crown as being the best player in the NBA though. Kobe was also having an amazing season before injuries slowed him down.

I've always thought Kobe was the better player. He doesn't have any holes in his game. Zero weaknesses. It's just not close who the best basketball player in the NBA is to me. The thing that seals it for me is the mental difference between the two. Kobe has a bottemless pit for a stomach... He's always hungry.

As you know, when kobe started struggling after the injuries, i made plenty of excuses for him(portland got in his ass huh?, lol). BUt after numerous games where he struggled, i started to wonder if we had seen the last of the elite kobe. Clearly i was wrong. Kobe is getting silly unmbers, and he doesnt seem to be forcing it. It's like he can choose to do whatever he wants on the court.

Kobe's body control, core strength and footwork are all ridiculous. Tezo is absolutely right; you just have to put a hand in his face and hope that he has an off night. Pierce will really have his hands full if he has to deal with Kobe on defense and Artest on offense.

LeBron is a great player. He's still a better athlete than he is a basketball player though.

It's been seven years and I'm still waiting on him to develop some sort of post game and improve his footwork. I'm still waiting on him to add an off of the ball aspect to his game.
