Surprisly not on this site draft board, i imagine will be a top 5 pick next draft, has played 7mpg last year in acb as 18yo, he’s 6’11" kid with 7’11" wingspan, big man with very good technique around the basket, soft touch and great free throw shooter, also when the game on the line…

First of all, it’s Ilimane Diop.

I would also say kid doesn’t have a good offensive skill set, like you say he knows shoot and free throw, but that’s all.

Its stats at the U20 European championship aren’t that tremendous, 8.2ppg 7.3rpg and 1.7bpg. You want more from a top 5 pick.

DE has him in the late second round and you want NBADraft put him in the top 5 ahah.

Last but not least, I’ve never seen a kid with 7’11 wingpsan, maybe a octopus, not sure.

He has tremendous physical measurements, very long and actually surprisingly strong. Is very effective on defense. However his development over the past 6 years has been virtually non-existant. One can only wonder how much he will develop.

No way he goes first round, let alone top 5 unless he has some otherworldly progression. He’s someone, I believe, who has been getting by due to his sheer size, which of course will help with defense, but has a complete lack of actual basketball skills.

Also, Diop will turn 21 before next years draft so he’s not as young as you’re thinking kobyz.

He has been like 3rd string center for Baskonia (and 15th man there) for last couple of years. He is an active and athletic big man. Also bigger than 6-11 I am sure of that. I don’t know how many times it has to be explained to Americans – but in Europe heights listings are usually without shoes.

Porzingis was 7-1 there. Hezonja was 6-6 there. We have the same discussion here for years and you guys still don’t get it. It gets really annoying at this point to be honest.

Anyway, he can be backup in NBA. He is big enough and active enough. Fairly typical of players NBA dafts.
