"Let's Talk About...": IndianaBasketball-Fourth in a Series
IndianaBasketball is imo the 3rd smartest guy on the site and one of my favorite posters. Everybody overreacted whether he lied or not about his college career, I mean who really cares if he lied? Big f***ing whoop. Everybody lies at some point. He's still a fantastic poster.
Like I kept saying in that topic, it's not even a relevant thing to get upset about. That entire exchange was pointless. IndianaBasketball is able to make his points calmly and effectively, and isn't afraid to discuss an opposite point of view. Those kinds of posters are invaluable.
Besides, we Pacers fans have to stick together. He's alright by me.
I mean he knows basketball, just like most people here, but I mean he did lie, there's really no reason to lie, this isn't some exclusive forum where you'll be disqualified from if your basketball abilities aren't up to par. I mean for all I know everyone on this site could be amazing at basketball or be terrible, It doesn't matter, but don't go around pretending you're someone your not because your only lying to yourself. So yea.
People on here still bringing this up? Let it go, he lied it's over point blank. I don't care how good a poster someone is, anybody can put on a front behind the computer monitor,but when you lie about something so stupid to people you don't even know , I don't know how anyone can be a legend doing things like that. I been off of it tho,yall should do the same,and stop sucka stroking the "TOP" posters on this site and coming to their defense when there in a battle, all it does is make you look less of a man.

I'll humor this guy just a little while longer before this thread, I hope, returns to the intended topic. So here's my question:
WHY DO I GET ACCUSED OF TRYING TO BE FUNNY ALL THE TIME? Maybe the old, stupid me, where I was doin the whole grandpa persona thing, but I really don't crack jokes all the time! In this thread for instance, I am not trying to be funny and my comments are all legit. IndianaBasketbal is not "my savior", but, C'MON! DUDE HAS 15,000 POINTS FOR A REASON (and I hope I git that number right, or else I'm sure you'll point it out). Just...CHILL! Do you really want to be a generally disliked poster to begin with on this site? That's what I was and, I'd say, the majority of users still dislike me!

All I do is get on here post my response and go on to the next forum, what does the pink and green thumb mean in real life? What does it matter to me if I have a million negative points or a million positive points? Is someone going to get a prize? Is someone going to get a special guest apperance on ESPN first take? It's also some very irrational, douchebaggish guys who numbers are in the negatives. So, if you want to just talk ball, well, people might not be so apt to listen to ANYTHING you have to say, even if its intelligent, because you pissed everyone off from the get-go. So that's why points might matter to a newer poster like you. They are an indicator of how other posters view you.
Also, the reason I make these "Let's talk About" threads is because I am genuinely interested in the site dynamic and what other posters think about the more identifiable, recognizable users on here. If you don't like them, just ignore them, because, obviously, a handful of people DO enjoy responing to them.
ain't nothing wrong with recognizing the best posters for all the good things they do to make this site better.

Indiana Basketball is a very good imformative and precise poster, he doesn't need ten thousand paragraphs like my self, or ten million paragraphs like MikeyV. I hope he's just busy which is why he hasn't been posting the past week, and not hella annoyed that Troll Wonder was on his balls like that.

The Pacers are currently the third see in the East, IU will probably be the number one ranked team in the country next year, Butler, Purdue, Notre Dame will probably make the NCAA tourney, and this years crop of HS seniors will be taking the NCAA by storm, with more on the way. A good time to root for Indiana Basketball.

I hate to be biased as a lifelong IU fan but they're losing Hummel, Jackson, Ryne Smith their best shooter, And they kicked Barlow off the team and he was a promising player too imo.. They have a few good young ones and some decent recruits coming in the next couple years but I really dont see them making even the NIT next year lol
Def agree that its lookin good for Indiana Basketball though!

So, I know I just made the NoMoney one, but it was kinda dead because everybody likes NoMoney. But the main reason I wanted to talk about IndianaBasketball is because he was, until a couple weeks ago, a SITE LEGEND. WE're talking initial class-first ballot site Hall of Famer. But then, some obsessive punk (Boywonder, I think his name was?) comes out of nowhere and "calls out" IndianaBasketball in regards to his questionable basketball-playing past. Other posters, such as Durantula (owner of the great quote-"How can we believe anything he says if he isn't who he says he is? lol, this is a frickin BASKETBALL FORUM and he talks about BASKETBALL) ganged up on Indiana and, next thing you know this former points leader and current #2 (and tops among "serious posters", sorry McDunkin!) has a tarnished reputation.
Listen, I don't care if he's lying (and I don't think he is), he is one of the smartest, calmest, most reasonable and easy-to-get-along-with posters and I DON"T GIVE A D*** "WHO" HE IS.
So, what are your thoughts?
