drice4life1753ParticipantVery excited for my Heat to finally play again. It seems like they havent even played in these playoffs theirlayoff has been so long. My hope is after having at least 5 days rest I DO NOT…DO NOT want to see any kind of Dwyane Wade turn around long 2pt. jumpers. They make me want to pull my hair out, really hoping all the rest allows him to move more freely around the court and actually attack the basket. Also, it would be nice if a 3pt. marksmen would make a statment by hitting some 3’s in this game 1 and hopefully they can carry it throughout the playoffs….I just see it as unlikely James Jones is that guy, but hey no one thought it would be Miller last year and now he is every Heat fans favorite bench player.

Memphis MadnessParticipantAn NBA Finals with any team other than Miami coming out of the East would basically be a disaster.
WITH Miami, though, Heat vs. Spurs or Thunder or Clippers would be really, really good.
People probably think that the league wants OKC in the Finals. Put LeBron vs. Durant in another Finals matchup. Lots of superstars on both teams… BUT I think that the league has already built up Durant enough (he won the MVP!), and Westbrook is super-hyped too.
The league probably wants the Clippers in the Finals. HUGE story with Sterling, and now a deep Clippers run would be a "feel good story" and bump up the price tag for the franchise. The league could also showcase Chris Paul as the best point guard in the league, and the best in the game since the Isiah Thomas/John Stockton Era.
Oh, and they have the freakish Blake Griffin to turn into a full-blown SUPERSTAR.
LA is also a HUGE market, so TV ratings should be great. They are also an underdog story, since they have never gotten to the Finals before.
At the end of the day, a Heat-Clippers NBA Finals would be a big payday for the NBA.
