Im watching this game against Pitt, and although he is as physically gifted as they come and a super talent on offense, LeBryan Nash HATES passing and it will be a huge problem for him reaching his potential if he doesn’t correct it. And as I type this, the announcer said Nash hasn’t had an assist in the last 4 games, and they also said he has 4 assists and 25 turnovers. Those numbers remind me of Hassan Whiteside’s A/TO when he declared. No excuse for that type of selfishness, but he has time. Just thought I’d bring that up, you can see the upside but he has alot to learn about being smart with the ball.

The kid has a very poor BBIQ, and definitely iosn’t ready for the NBA yet. Should stay in college for at least one more year.

But he reminds me quite a bit of LaceDarius Dunn as far as his love for gunning. They of course had different games and builds, but Dunn took a while to finally learn to give the ball up every once in a while. Nash by no means has Dunn’s shooting stroke, but his job is to score the basketball for Oklahoma State and his inability to pass hurts that ability. When teams know they can force you into bad shots, they will take full advantage. Think that has happened to Nash constantly. He has a lot of potential, but he is really more of an undersized 4 than a wing. Since he is thinking NBA right away, he is trying to show he can play the 3 spot, to little avail.

Lace Dunn kinda was like that too, that year he had 2 assists throughout the whole Big 12 stretch. The difference was that Dunn was an electric scorer who was super efficient for a primary jump shooter in his 1st 3 years of school as you alluded too. Nash hasn’t been efficient either, and its because he’s a little predictable in that teams realize that he’ll look to shoot EVERY TIME he gets the ball more than it is that he just can’t shoot or create for himself. When you shoot so much that your matchup knows you’re gonna chuck it every time you touch the ball, it becomes a problem and makes you easier to guard. He’s gotta change that.

Good breakdown, yeezy. Nash is just such a tank and a big time athlete. I am sure he can use another year of maturation as far as tweaking his game, but his body is there. He had that decent pass off to Page just a second ago, but you are definitely right that he is a hog. I think if he wants to enter this year, he more than likely goes late first round unless he shows major improvement throughout the year. He definitely has to change his game to go any higher than that, which he has all of the talent in the world to do so.
