jaysmith1987ParticipantAm I the only one who thinks this guy will be a one and done lottery pick. I mean he has prototypical size and athleticism for small forward plus hes decently skilled. Lets not forget hes going to ok state were he will be bmoc as soon as he gets there its possible he puts up big numbers and gets his team to the big dance. If that happens I don”t see why he wouldnt go top ten.

M-DYMESParticipantPersonally I think the consensus is that he probably will be one and done if he plays up to what he is capable of. I don’t think you are a lone wolf in having that opinion at all.

ilike.panochasParticipantFor a guy who has monster potential, he often gets lost when mentioning top SF prospects (Miller, Barnes, Gilchrist, Adonis Thomas usually headlines the list). I also think he will only go one year of college, it just seems he has that type of personality, even if he doesn’t play to his capability this season.

aamir543ParticipantI think he will be one and done, but I really dont like the one and done rule.
The whole Josh Selby thing was a worst case scenario for a great HS player, and a highly touted recruit. He dropped out of his classes in the second semester, he was out for the first ten or so games, didn’t see the court much after the injury, and I dont think he got much out of the college experience. (Maybe a much needed wake up call)
I just hope all the one and done guys focus and dont do anything stupid, and dont drop their draft stock as much as Selby did. (Top 10 to 49!)

MuggsyParticipantI think the age limit to enter the league should be raised to 20, should give most players two years to either play in college or Europe. One and done is not a true test of skill, it also hurts the college programs, being elite one year and bottom of the barrel the next isn’t fun for the players or fans.

paradigmnParticipantHe’s a year older than all other incoming freshman so I guess technically he will be 20 even if he is a one and doner

JNixonParticipantHe’s a good player. He’s got big-time size for a college Fr. who’s a wing, at about 6’7 230. He’s a very good athlete and he’s got a nice shot. I think he’ll be very productive for OK State, who plays a pretty wide open style, and with the firepower they should have offensively he should be very good in the Big 12 already. I think there is a good chance he’s 1 and done as well.

JNixonParticipantOnly thing comparable about him and Artest is both are physically gifted SF’s. Nash is a very good athlete, Artest has never been more than OK athletically. And the only reason I label him OK is because he has good foot quickness. They dont even play the same.

bdiddy5115ParticipantAs a prospect for the 2012 draft, I think Nash has to be the most underrated of anyone in the early projections. I understand the attitude/maturity concerns – but lets not act as if he’s the first HS star with a few. Because on the surface, he has to be one of the most physically talented and overall gifted players available.
– He’s stronger and bigger than most of the other SFs (at 6-7 230). He’s an explosive leaper who won the McD’s dunk contest (please throw out the Artest comparisons). Add these together, and he’s an excellent finisher.
– He has an incredibly smooth offensive game, equipped with a pretty jumper, and quality handles. He obviously has the physical tools to defend, if he can get the effort.
His ceiling, in my opinion, is higher than Gilchrist’s, Barnes’ and probably any SF in the class (I still need to watch Adonis Thomas more closely). His floor is quite a bit lower, but if he can get his head on straight, I think it would be ridiculous to see him drafted behind 4-5 SFs.

cward23ParticipantActually many scouts Compare him to artest not just because of his physical ability (other than the great athlete part although Arest test was a god one at one point) but because he tends to show a short fuse on the court from time to time and his peers have said he acts kind strange.
I also think he is a one and done player

kobyzParticipanthe seems like a bigger Corey Maggette, both very physically strong, very good athletes, offensive type minded players without much interest on defense, same style of play and the love to take the ball to the basket, some selfishness…

JNixonParticipantCorey Maggette is a much better comparison. Nash does have some maturity problems and he’s a bit of a loose cannon at times, but he’s a better athlete than Artest has been and he’s not that kind of defender at all. He’s way more offensive minded than he is defensive minded.
