After reading post after post and watching espn it’s clear a lot of people who aren’t even Cav fans don’t like Lebron now. Outside of people in my miami, do you feel fans would try and boycott him? Like will Paul Pierce or Joe Johnson be voted an all star starter over him? People didn’t like Kobe for a while after his incident in Colorado but he still was an all star and now has the reigning title for most popular jersey 2 years running i believe. I’m pretty sure Lebron doesn’t care what people think otherwise he wouldn’t have made the decision he did but what do you guys think will happen fan wise?

Having someone like Gerald Wallace start over him would be the funniest thing ever.

it’s kinda being blown up right now because it is fresh. Give it some time. But yeah, i had my sister from sac call me and she doesnt evn watch much ball and she was telling me the sac radios were killing lebron, so it’s obviously not just from cleavland.

I think people will still be a fan of his. I mean he technically didn’t do anything wrong. He just made a business decision and felt he has a better chance of winning in Miami than anywhere else. I think his approach was wrong though. No player should have an hour special to announce where he is going to sign because that’s not a good look. In my opinion that makes him seem a little selfish and egotistical. But overall I’m going to follow him still, just under a larger microscope. If he fails then that’s on him, he has a crazy good supporting cast and the only person to blame now would be himself.

i dont blame him for choosing miami, and llperez is right, it is a fresh story. as soon as he is catching and throwing lobs to and from his teammates he will be the top vote getter. this decision means he wants to win over anything else including legacy. he just should have prepared cleveland for this day alot better. but its true i think alot of people are sick of lebron right now but they will come around once the season starts.

Jamario Moon is going to start in thw All-Star game next year. Dan Gilbert will pay Vietnamese workers to punch out ballots night and day to make sure at least one Cav and some other lucky hooligan will start over LeBron. Whether he pays them a decent living wage is another thing, but at least he will have his revenge! Oh, LeBron, your tears are so sweet! Man, this guy is like the grown-up version of Cartman (he is not fat, but in being a hilarious childish schmoe).

My real answer is, no, LeBron will not be boycotted from the All-Star game, people are being just as immature about this as they are viewing him as being and he will be more popular than ever. He and Wade will both start, and if people boycott LeBron, he will still make the ASG anyway barring tuberculosis. Bosh probably still won’t start, but will likely make it as well. By the way, does anyone remember how dope these three looked playing together in the All-Star Game last year? Pretty sure they were the 3 leading scorers on the team, and Wade won MVP in a close contest. No one was saying how the Eastern conference team would not work because to many players need the ball and their wasn’t a bunch of garbage about hurting Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas fans feelings. Man, to return to those times 🙂

If Kobe could keep making the All-Star Game with fan vote, I am pretty sure Cleveland fans not voting for LeBron or sending negative vibes against someone who is PLAYING ON A DIFFERENT TEAM. Bottom line, that is all he is doing, it sucks, it happens, people are worrying about this more than the 2000 Florida Hanging Bloody Chad! Cleveland, you have a Rock and Roll Museum, you have some other stuff going for you, you will be fine. Gilbert, you bought the team because of LeBron, I would feel bad maybe for Gordon Gund, but not for you. You are from Michigan, try and buy the Pistons, you are as much of a bandwagon jumper as anyone. Now that he leaves, he does you a disservice? You care about the Cleveland fans? You are above what is egotistical and petty in sports? Judging by your e-mail, I would believe that as much as I believe your “PERSONAL GUARANTEE.” In other words, Dan Gilbert’s opinion should matter as much as John Bryant signing with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

If he had done this special and said he is resigning in Cleveland he would have been the most loved player in the NBA. BUTTT he chose the cop out so he is the most hated.

This is as bad Tiger Woods cheating on his wife and Michael Vick’s dogs. Lebron didn’t even commit a crime.
