Mr.Knick 32ParticipantWould LeBron’s Legacy take a small hit in your eyes if he leaves to a Chicago or Miami superteam and wins championships?

JJeff6Participantit would take a small hit as it shows he wasnt able to win in some areas. Comparing him to kobe, kobe probably would have been able to find cleveland a championship at least once….

sacphil_08ParticipantWhat legacy are we talking about. He’s obviously a great talent and one of the best players in the league. But legacy? What has he accomplished? He has back to back MVP seasons and he led his team to the finals a few years back. Ok those are accolades. But outside of that what has he done? Led Cleveland to the best record in the league? There’s alot of guys who have done that and had no legacy. Chris webber led the kings to some of the best records in the league in his tenure in Sacramento but that doesn’t establish a legacy. He led the league in scoring; Jerry stackhouse did that same thing back to back years in the early 90s when he came out. That doesn’t establish a legacy. It just bugs me and I’m sure others that when someone almost self proclaims something (in lebrons case everyone put him there because of the hype) and people just buy into it. He’s done nothing more than Dwayne Wade not to mention Wade has a championship besides the MVPs. And Wade hasn’t had the pieces around him since they won it in 06. I won’t guarantee that d Wade wouldve won a championship with that team but Im almost positive that he wouldve about 90% to be exact. I just think that he needs to accomplish more. There have been plenty of stat padders to play im the NBA and none of them were considered to have had legacies but lebron because of all the hype surrounding him has one and really there’s a dearth of relevant events that have taken place to consider him to have a legacy

mini_marzParticipantkobe may have a better legacy (playing for the lakers does help a lot) when its all done… but lets be realistic…. the cavs never really gave lebron real help just think about… jamison is good…but on LA he wouldn’t start…. and when u look at the teams that kobe got rings with they all had great role players… think about it finals game 7 who do u want Fisher or Mo???
but to answer the question about lebrons legacy it will all depend on rings and there will always be people saying he had great teammates (wade or rose possibly) but really… didn’t every great player that won a ring have another great player beside him?
people need to really take in LeBron… we may be looking at one of the greatest all-around players of all time…. every category that he is on there are only 2 others with him… Jordan and Oscar… that says something0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/29/2010 - 2:53pm #343891
ZeroParticipantIf he doesn’t go to Miami or Chicago, his legacy will be known as the greatest player to never win a championship.

WrecklessParticipantDammit. U guys forget about Elgin Baylor to much. If lebron stays in cleveland then he will never get a ring. Period

Sorry we didn’t watch him play in the 50/60’s. Were young. Terrible reason for LeBron to leave because Baylor had superstars around him.
You gotta do that HW
