IS lebron your mvp?

Personally, I know Kevin Durant, melo and Lebron are all having a career season, but I really feel like Lebron should win it again.. Im not saying this because he's having a phenomenal week, I just think he's the best player in the world, and should win it again this year, but it's my opinion and im curious to hear yours!

He is no doubt the best

He is no doubt the best player in the world. The only way he doesn't win it is if the voters get bored of voting for him.

Yes he deserves it but Durant

Yes he deserves it but Durant will get it due to "voter fatigue".

LeBron is the MVP this year.

LeBron is the MVP this year. The chemistry he has with all of his team mates is making it all the easier for me to admit he is in fact the best player right now

I was actually thinking

I was actually thinking Durant deserved it up until recently. LeBron is just in a tier by himself right now.

i hate lebron and would love

i hate lebron and would love to vote for anyone else. But yes, he is the mvp. Hes always had the physical tools of running the fastbreak and locking guys up on defense and was skilled as well. But his skills are improving to the point of dominnace. You used to ask him to take jumpers becasue he blew by you so easily, but now th ejumpers are falling so well you have to get up on him and just hope for help if he gets by you becasue you cant leave him alone at all. This is probably about his 4th straight year of being the best player in the game.

KD is no slouch in his case

KD is no slouch in his case either, Durant is scoring at a historic volume, the last guy to score as well as Durant with his percentages was Larry Bird, he did it at age 29, KD is 24

The question is íf you had a vote who would you vote for? Not who you think the voters will vote for. Lebron is my MVP as of now. KD can bolster his campaign in after the all-star break. I just think Lebron means much more to his team than KD at this point.

To be fair, it's still too

To be fair, it's still too early to see; there was that stretch where Durant was dropping 40 and then 52 in a small span where I put him in as my MVP, but he came back down to earth a bit and it depends on whether Lebron backs off the standard he's set lately.

Durant can still catch him, but it'll come down to the head-to-head matchup between the two of them; if Durant and the Thunder can win that convincingly, and Durant outplay Lebron then it's gotta be KD.

As of right now I'd vote for

As of right now I'd vote for LBJ but it's definitely tight. If Durant goes off on another stretch or two like Jan 11-18 where he had three games over 40 points, he's right back in this race.

LBJ obviously has the edge in assists, rebounds and man to man defense but Durant has the edge in scoring, blocks and is a 50-40-90 guy which always gets serious MVP consideration. If the Thunder end the year with 5 or more wins than Miami, Durant will only get more consideration.

I'll say this much, this is one of the best MVP races in years.

my vote goes to

Tony Parker. The spurs have the best record and he's having his best season and also its obvious he's the best player on the team.

i said that

I said that souly because over the years peoples main argument about the spurs were that their big 3 evened out everything so their was no clear cut MVP on their team but this year I can honestly say tony Parker is their MVP and if the spurs finish with the best record I believe he's the MVP of the league. That doesn't mean he's the best player in the "world" but as far as this season goes he's been the MVP on the best team in the league. & btw I'm a Knicks fan, I bleed blue and orange so that lets you know I'm not just some fan of the spurs saying this.

It's tough to decide. What's

It's tough to decide.

What's more impressive? LeBron's high FG% streak or the fact that Durant is shooting over 50, 40 and 90 on the season?

Well after another 30ppg,

Well after another 30ppg, +60%FG I'd say he's just adding to his worthiness. Oh and he had 9 assists and 6 rebounds and 3 steels, 2 blocks, with 0 fouls and only 1 turnover in 39 minutes. His direct SF matchup Nicolas Batum who is one of the better small forwards of the league only had 5 points, with 5 turnovers and 5 field goal attempts. LBJ 4 MVP! No pun intended

Kevin Durant's not improving,

Kevin Durant's not improving, he's the same player every year. LeBron has improved tons since he came into the league, but he's been coasting a lot this year. Tony Parker's probably the third best behind them and he plays hard and has won more games.

Durant has certainly been

Durant has certainly been improving every year in the league. He is a much better passer and defender than he was a couple years ago. Durant was my MVP 2 weeks ago but the way LeBron is playing at the moment it is very hard to make a case for anyone outside of him.

I'd love to see KD win it,

I'd love to see KD win it, but seriously Lebron is shooting an unreal 56.2% from the FIELD. I really don't think a player has every scored as efficiently in the history of the NBA as he is now, not to mention he is pretty much single-handedly leading a motivationless Heat to the number 1 seed in the East again? It looks like the fourth MVP in the row for him, unless people are sick and tired of voting him for the award, which he realistically could win every year for the next 5 years

YES. He's playing out of his

YES. He's playing out of his mind, but Jordan could have won it every year during his prime, but he didn't.

I think they might give it to Durant, now in his 6th season, is in the 50/40/90 club while dropping 29 per night with 7.4 and 4.4 and over a block and steal per. KD is also on pace to win his 4th straight scoring title, which is a great accomplishment.

Lebron is the best player in the game, but I think Durant may get his first MVP this year just because Bron has dominated the award for a solid chunk of time now.

Great point.MJ was the best

Great point.

MJ was the best player in the NBA from 1986/1987 through 1992/1993 and then 1995/1996 through 1997/1998.

Magic Johnson got three MVP awards, Charles Barkely got one and Karl Malone got one during those specific time frames. I can understand Magic getting them... However, despite the fact Barkely and Malone had amazing seasons (personal and team), there's no way they were better than MJ.

You're right but the NBA MVP is rarely ever about the best player in the league at the time. If it were then Kobe and Shaq would definitely have more than 1 MVP and Nash would have none. Hell even Dirk Nowitzki when he won MVP (albeit he had a great individual season and the Mavs were just incredible) was arguably only the third best PF in the league.

I didnt have a problem with

I didnt have a problem with barkely or malone winning over mj. Mj obviously outplayed them in the finals, but those guys had great individual seasons. Media and fans can obviosly be biased, but usually the players know whos deserving and they did a players poll that season malone won the mvp and it was like 50/50 between jordan and malone, so obviously the guys on the court saw it close. As for the year barkely won, that was the first year i was a die hard fan and maybe i wasnt as knowledgeable, but it sure seemed like barkley was as good as anyone that year. The bulls won 57 games and the suns won 62 so when its close those wins play a factor. I remember a bunch of coaches including george karl saying that olajuwon should have won over both barkely and jordan that season.

I'd honestly give it Melo

I'd honestly give it Melo over Durant, Look at how the team has turned it around from last year, Melo is the biggest part of that... but it seems like Melo would never win even if he was averaging 40..... Just my opinion

As a Thunder fan I would love

As a Thunder fan I would love to see KD getting it but honestly Bron is really deserving it. He is flat out the best player and he really has figured out how to be a scorer without beeing a shooter. He really understands Basketball and the game just comes to him. After the Heat won it last year I really think the monkey is off his back now and he found back the joy he expressed in Cleveland. He seems to be more comfortable in his own skin and when I saw him tackle the half court shot fan he really seemed to enjoy basketball more than ever what is the reason for me why he is so dominant right now.

KDs time will come and if he needs to be better than this LeBron imagine what kind of a freak he will be one day.

Lebron is averaging career

Lebron is averaging career highs in FG%, 3Pt%, and rebounding, while averaging career lows in TO's. He still getting better. By all accounts, every where but the free throw line, Lebron is every bit the shooter Durant is.

I don't know if we really recognize how good Lebron is, because "he isnt Jordan", and maybe that will change with more championships. But when you think that he probably the most gifted and durable athlete we may have ever seen in basketball, some freakish cross between Karl Malone and Michael Jordan in body type, and he's working to be as skilled and multitalented as anyone ever.... by the end of his career, I think people will use he and Jordan in the same sentence often, and it wouldnt surprise me if a LOT of people had James and Jordan in alphabetical order in their rankings.

At this exact moment, I'd

At this exact moment, I'd give it to LeBron.

Early in the season it was KD and with KD's scoring ability, he can easily get on a tear after the All-Star break and average 30-33 PPG to sway my decision by seasons end.
