There are two ways to look at it. Either he is loyal to Clev and the fans and wants to do everything in his power to ride tihs out or he despises Dan Gilbert so much that he wants to shove this in face. I’ve watched a bunch of Cavs games over the last few weeks and Lebron is playing like he just don’t care, almost going through motions. You can see it in his body language. I’d like to think he is staying for the fans to make this work, but it def feels like he is staying just to half-ass this season and then bail on the team. \

At this point, he has checked out, just let the team get the most value from a trade and move on. Everyone can move on. Lebron = douchebag

I just checked an LeBron is averaging 26, 8 and 9. He’s shooting 54/35/75, which is above his career average in each category.

If he’s doing this while "checked out," he is even more incredible than we thought.

Of course it’s possible that he’s checked out on defense, but not on offense. But there are plenty of superstars (Harden, Melo, Kyrie to name a few) who have gone practically their whole careers without ever "checking in" on D, and people just accept that about them. At least with LeBron we know he can play lockdown D when he wants to.

If anybody should be blamed it should be Dan Gilbert as the owner of the Franchise.

He should have sat both Kyrie and Lebron down and Made a Business decision of who to keep. Espcially since LeBron was only signed for this season. If he didn’t resign right then and there he Should have moved on with Kyrie and traded Lebron or have him walk at the end of the season which it looks like he is going to anyway.

LeBron dosent get "traded" he just signs elsewhere doing the off season simple as that. Donkey of the day goes to Dan Gilbert for even thinking he was gonna get a Couple of players and Draft picks and trade LeBron to whatever team he chooses lol.

Why would he waive his clause and get traded to a team that dessimates his roster to get him when he can simply join em next summer ? Dan Gilbert is a pathetic owner, getting rid of David Griffin was awful, but that god damn celtics trade lmao, I just can’t.. They should have kept Kyrie and watch the kid pout awhile, Lebron was leaving the year after anyway so what was the point of getting rid of Kyrie. Sorry Clevelanders, Cavs are going to suck for a long long time after. Bron bout to go to the Spurs or the Rockets.

By the way, still can’t believe how awful Crowder and IT have been. Trashcan and JR bricks don’t surprise me though.

LeBron has held this team hostage.. Dan Gilbert is putting his foot down and taking control of his investment when its clear LeBron has no interest unless it serves him..

I wish LeBron would hold my team hostage, if it means three straight trips to the finals and one championship!

Ya.. You clearly have no concept of reality.

          Kyrie Irving is clearly missed.

I grant that the Kyrie trade has been disastrous for the Cavs so far.

But seriously … you don’t think at least 24 NBA teams would happily exchange rosters with the Cavs?

LeBron = The finals. You can’t argue with that.

This Roster is crap by the way, Full of mismatched pieces.. Im sure a desperate team would love this ticking timebomb but not 24 of em sorry bud..

The smart money is on him joining Simmons, Embiid, Fultz, Covington, Saric and Jj Reddick in Philadelphia

With the 76ers he’ll have A huge PG in Simmons, a great 3 and D Wing in Covington who can start at SG, he would be the Small Forward, They can slot Dario at PF to play a lot like Kevin Love and Chris Bosh taking open spot up jumpshots, he would also have a freak in the middle offensively and defensively in Joel Embiid

Add a clutch 3 point shooter in JJ Reddick and a 6th man iso scorer in Markelle Fultz off the bench and the 76ers would be very dangerous

I actually agree with Robb here…

I think Kyrie not being there hurts that team a lot as far as 4th quarter efficiency.  Lebron has never been a dependable clutch SCORER in the 4th quarter.  He’s a great player…but I cannot depend on him to get difficult buckets in crunchtime.  Actually,,,well he’s a beast dunker and driver…

I think the way they are playing right now is pathetic.  It may be turmoil, but how are you not going to compete and get blown out night after night?  You’re a champion…Defensively your team is a sieve.

I think this tema proved all it needed to that first game against Boston.  They cruised.  They utterly manhandled Boston.  I think they know they can turn it on and will be back in the finals.  To quote my man GGG this is just a "big drama show" right now.  These are grown men that can turn it on and will turn it on the playoffs are far away.

As far as Lebron being on the Sixers…the whole entitled aspect, demanding your owner to pay luxury tax and make trades, basically "show me the money" Jerry Maguire shiz…I know Lebron generates all kinds of money for the organization…but ultimately he’s a baskebtall player just like hteo ther 500.  Why he feels he can command his owner to go above and beyond to get help, simply for him, is annoying.  King James is now holding his franchise hostage.  He will leave and yet still wants his owner to break the bank for him, while he moves on to greener pastures.  Guarantee in the same way they traded Wiggins, he wants them to use the Brooklyn pick to add even more talent, and that just hurts them more.  He wants more help, he wants his owner and organization to show how much they love him, but he also knows he can get to the Finals because they manhandled Boston early in the year.  Sounds like a despot to me.

Do you really want that on the Sixers?  I get the players need more power in the NBA, but do you really want that sort of influence on your team?

He’s getting older and on a downward trend.  I’d rather have Paul George right now.

I also think you overrate Covington.  Since he’s signed his contract he’s come back to earth.  Covington is good for a couple lazy turnovers a game.  He made his money on bad Sixers teams chucking 3s.  And latley he hasn’t been able to shut down players, I’d rather have an Iguodala.

I was actually going to suggest in a post would you trade Covington and a pick to take Deng’s contract and Brandon Ingram.  Woudln’t Brandon Ingram be a great fit as your 3.  He’s a better defender than Covington and will grow to be a more reliable shooter.  Also its pretty unlikely the Sixers will sign an alpha-FA.

IF,,,the cavs do break it up.  I would like Kevin Love for Dario Saric and our 1st and some expiring contracts.  Kevin Love helps you sign Klay Thompson if you the stars align.  Then the reach is Covington and Fultz for Kawhi Leonard.

Simmons, Klay, Leonard, Love, Embiid.  Trust the Process.

This season is slowly turning into a dumpster fire. Go ahead and trade LeBron for the Human Technical Foul Machine already.

In a related story, Giannis just alley oop dunked it over Tim Hardaway Jr. As in JUMPED over.
