I think he’s gone. It will be scary to watch a LebronBosh combo in NY!

Question 1: Did Donnie Walsh really think Sergio Rodriguez could play basketball?

Question 2: What’s the deal with that ‘stache?

Question 3: Would I have to deal with Stephen A. Smith covering me for every year that I’m here?

Question 4: Be honest, you don’t honestly think I would be impressed with a roster that prominently features Danilo Gallinari, right?

Question 5: How many shoes do you think Nike will sell with my free agent visit date on them thanks to these rumors about me leaving Cleveland?

This story is bogus. Not the part about LBJ being interested in the Knicks, but the part about NYK being the clear frontrunners. There is no logic to LeBron picking NY over NJ except the Bosh scenario, which is overrated because Bosh could take less money to join LeBron so the Nets could be 10 times more loaded than the Knicks with LeBron instead of 5 times more loaded. Could a LeBron to Knicks enthusiaist give me just a mere 3 reasons why LeBron would pick NYK over the BROOKLYN Nets?

This is interesting because after seeing Boston and Lakers in the finals, he has to believe he can not win in Cleveland. Also winning in LA or Boston seems to mean more than most cities but winning in New York should top both of them. Lebron could win less rings but be remember longer if he wins in New York.

I love it when everybody says”look at the Nets roster, then look at the Knicks roster…the Nets are soo much better.” Really? Okay they have Brook Lopez, and Devin Harris…lot of good they did for the Nets this year…if Im not mistaken the Knicks won 17 more games than the Nets. And keep sleepin on Gallinari, he’ll be an all-star soon enough, and Lebron happens to like Gallinari alot. Then people say “The Nets got a hip, and cool owner now.” How many championships have the Mavericks won with their “hip and cool owner?” The Knicks will always be higher on the totem pole than the New Jersey/Brooklyn Nets. In my whole life, im 28 yrs old…and I have yet to meet a Net fan. That speaks volumes about that franchise.

knicks82 you make some valid points, but you forget a few VERY important things: NJ’s roster underacheived no doubt, but they are SUPER young, like formula fed young. I don’t think any of their main guys except Harris was over 24, and Harris was only like 26 himself. Second, the Knicks had a better style AND a better coach. The D’Antoni style will automatically get you 20 wins and inflate to varying degrees the player’s stats, which is the exact reason why every other team is skittish about signing a player from that team. Also, people underestimate the impact that instability within an organization has on the product on the floor. The Knicks have stability, the Nets didn’t, but they do NOW. I could go on, but there is a reason why everyone who doesn’t live on planet New York can see NJ is the better situation. Think about it. I would be happy for the long suffering Knicks and their fans if they nabbed LBJ, but I always gotta tell the truth.

What do you mean stability? Avery Johnson is not a good coach IMO. NY has the edge there. The Nets do have the better roster but I have to ask- Could Lopez and Harris be a good #2 and #3 options?

GreenLantern you also made some valid points. But its not like the Knicks dont have some good young talent as well. Gallinari is 21, Wilson Chandler is 22, and Toney Douglas is 22, oh and Ill throw in Bill Walker cause I think the knicks will keep him, hes only 22. So even if the Nets is a “better” option for him, I dont think its that much better. Fact of the matter is if he really wants to win, the best team for him to sign with would be the Bulls.

Right Now, I feel NY could just say

LeBron, you come to NY- Someone is following you. You, Bosh, Gallo and Chandler are amazing. We have two high second round picks in the 2010 plus were looking to buy another 1st round pick. LeBron, unlike any other team in this chase for you- We could not only get you someone in 2010- We could bring in someone in 2011. It’s up to you, we could move Eddy Curry this year or wait till next season and add another player in the 7-8 million dollar range ( along with our 2011 1st round pick)

What do you say LBJ? I think NY is for you man.
