SupParticipantI personally think Lebron has three smart options. The Nets, Celtics and Cavs. However here I’m gonna percentages to all the possible destinations.
New York Knicks 15%- After all this fuss it would only be fitting that Lebron end up on the biggest stage. Only one problem Lebron isn’t good enough to make them win. New York pressure and Clevland pressure are completly different animals.
NJ/BK Nets 30%- While NY pressure is a lot Lebron can start getting used to it in NJ and then go to Brooklyn and you never know maybe 3 years after that go to Madison Square Garden. Lebron has never showed anything but loyalty to Jay-Z singing every Jay-Z song during his games (even the bad ones.) Lebron seeks billionaire status and this Russian will promise exactly that.
Miami 5%- Lebron just isn’t that desperate. This would sabotage his legacy. Some may laugh but this is serious business, look how hard Kobe had to work to finally get out of Shaq’s shadow. Too much to lose.
Chicago 15%- This move makes so much sense except…he is gonna make Michael Jordan look even better everytime he loses. This benefits Michael in the long run, but he loves Michael so he just might do it.
Celtics 15%- Doc Rivers has proven to be the 2nd best coach in the league. Paul Pierce just opted out. Rondo is young. Why would he do this? If he realizes that LA Lakers could be a true dynasty. If they are a dynasty he is going to need to surround himself with proven winners in order to truly compete with them.
Cavs 20%- Keep in mind that’s low for an incumbent. The reason it’s so low is because of the bleek ending to this past season. However he does have the economy of his hometown weighing him. A move would seem so cold.
Winner…Nets. They allow Lebron to take baby steps still make most money and oh yeah they have best starting 5 to offer Lebron.
Harris/Paul

Mr. JewboyParticipanthow would boston even for him?
they haven’t been mentioned even once
and what about the clippers?0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/30/2010 - 8:50am #344194
SupParticipantThe Clippers haven’t been sold to Geffen, so they are not an option.

cheesepillowParticipantThis is a nice post, except for the Celtics part.
Like above said, never heard Boston being mentioned once, so if the Celtics are in-play, it would be a much lower percentage…like 5%. The other 10% gets split and added onto the Knicks and Bulls respectively

SupParticipantIf you notice teams like The Lakers and The Celtics are not very loud about their movements.

NYK2010ParticipantMust be a Lebron hater or clueless
This is so off its not even funny.
1st the Nets 30% are you crazy, this is more like 5%-7%. They don’t have enough cap room to sign 2 max free agents and Lebron won’t be playing in Newark for 2 years. Somebody at SG no that won’t get it done and Billionaire status is stupid the Nets outside of getting lucky in a trade for Kidd & Carter they haven’t done much. Don’t buy into the hype of Avery Johnson he couldn’t win when it counted. The Knicks at 15% closer to 20% but can’t really argue though. I think its higher becaz unlike most teams they will have cap room next year and they do have Gallo, Chandler, Douglas, Walker are some very good trade pieces. Also the grand stage of NY if he wants it, to help his business. He won’t be expected to win a title this year either.
Miami at 5% this is closer to 25%. There is a reason the F.A. summit is dominating the sports world and its a realistic possibility that Lebron, Wade and Chris Bosh all come. To me it would make more sense to add Carlos Boozer who is willing to take less money and is more of a physical player than Bosh. All sign 3 year deals and go from there but wil Wade, Lebron share the ball and put their egos aside to potentially win multiple titles probably not.
Bulls at 15% should be closer to 33%. They don’t have money for 2 max free agents but are close. That means Bosh and Lebron could both sign for about 14.75 starting. Lebron will be playing SG and no it won’t be a sign n trade for Luol Deng to Clev. or Toronto.
Celtics at 15% I think you mean .015%. Can’t see how does the trade even work, KG for Varajeo and Lebron?
Cavs 20%, this is dropping down to 15%. They don’t have a coach, team has no significant draft picks, young players. They are capped out for the next 2 yrs if he resigns and who is the starting Center, SG will be 35 staying for the full 6 years would hurt his career.
2% I would say for other teams like the Mavericks and Clippers total becaz the Cavs aren’t interested it seems in a sign n trade. Also the Clippers I don’t see it happening if Griffin was healthy last year produced and they had great shooters on the team.

SupParticipantLebron hasn’t exactly been hogging NBA championship rings so there would be no reason to hate. Furthermore let’s dispell this Bosh/Lebron/Wade chatter. They were all on the Olympic team and what happened? Dwayne Wade shined!! It is not in Lebron’s interest. Also, Kobe closed the deal in China. So recent history shows that trio will not help Lebron at all. All Lebron did in China was block shots.
