He did his part for the USA

He did his part for the USA team. Now he needs to just focus on making sure that he takes care of his body and spend more time with his family. But on the other hand you never know what can happen. He might change his mind and deiced to play in the 2016 Olympic games in Brazil. So I'm not reading to much in to this. When that time comes we will really know if he is playing or not.

That means TEAM USA might be

That means TEAM USA might be without Kobe,Wade and Lebron...

International competition has gotten so competitive & fierce that despite already being loaded with NBA All Stars, TEAM USA still needs Lebron..But i guess now after winning 2 NBA rings and already winning Olympic Gold...He doesnt have anything else to prove outside of winning more nba rings..... Coach K will gladly accept him if he changes his mind....

But Durant and Melo are more then capable of carrying the Torch........

Not Buying it

Im not buying it. I would bet the farm he will play in Rio. He and Melo have a chance to do something special, playing in 4 Olympics, winning 3 Gold and one Bronze.

There's plenty of young stars

There's plenty of young stars that can take over the load in 2016.

Good Move.

Thank you LeBron for helping USA Basketball get back on top, now get your much deserved rest. I've always felt like players shouldn't compete in more than 2 Olympics anyway because of all the great young talent the USA has, and just to give some other players the honor of representing their countries too.

LeBron, and Melo have already been on 3 Olympic teams, while D.Wade, CP3, and Deron Williams have already been on 2. All of these guys are nearing their 30's, it's time for USA Basketball to be turned over to the next generation.

With Durant, Rose, Westbrook, Harden, Curry, Paul George, Anthony Davis, Kyrie Irving, Kawhi Leonard we are straight going forward. With a few capable big men such as Cousins, Monroe, Favors (Breakout year I think) we still have more than enough talent to win.
