Lebron James escorted through oncoming traffic to concert.
Is this one of those "he got bad advice from his posse" moments?
Police shouldn't have done it, he shouldn't have accepted it, when this was posted on ESPN all of the heat bandwagon fans were posting comments like "hes the best player in the world he deserves this" or "yeah you show all of those haters bron you the king"
It's funny that ESPN makes you link your facebook now because I can see if people really have mental illnesses before I judge them... Most of them are wearing sunglasses inside... Or taking a selfie of them in the bathroom with poop still in the toilet...

Truth of the year!
LBJ's a grade A douchebag.
Stick to evaluating basketball. Calling him a d-bag over this incident is truly asinine.
Nah. He's opened up his mouth and inserted his foot enough for me to think he's a douchebag. He's naive, arrogant and no amount of training he's had can hide that.
As for this incident, I mean if he wants to take advantage of his celebrity, no one's gonna stop him, but what is the purpose of posting a video of it? To remind us of what special privileges he has that we don't?
Reminds me of his little "at the end of the day..." rant after he lost to the Mavs.
He's the king alright... and he'll remind us that he is.
Exactly. The "at the end of the day" speech after he lost to Dallas proved exactly the kind of guy he is. Spot on with your douche bag assessment.
I'm referring specifically to this incident. You don't have a clue what you are talking about. He posted the video to THANK the cops for treating him well which got him to the concert in a timely fashion so the show could start. He ACCEPTED an OFFERED ride because Jay-Z wouldn't start his concert until Lebron arrived. If anything he did the RIGHT thing.
No athlete gets more sh!t for doing nothing then LeBron James.
Which shows how f'ing naive and dumb he is. Thank the cops and show the rest of the world just how privileged he is. Him just saying thanks would've sufficed.
He gets a ton of sht because he is the best and he is unlikable. His personality is bland. He's uninteresting, inarticulate, he's made huge PR missteps along the way and he has a penchant for saying some dumb, arrogant sht without even knowing it. What's funny is that I'm sure he's a had a ton of media training, he has a PR team and all that, but that isn't enough to suppress his arrogance...because that is who he is. He cannot hide who he is.
BOTH he and Jay-Z are douchebags, how about that? LBJ isn't the only paying customer...and I doubt he even paid.
I understand the "it wasn't the smartest thing" to post the video. I'll even agree that it was stupid but his intention naive or not seemed to me like he wanted to thank the cops. That's the only possible thing I see wrong with what he did. What happens if he doesn't accept the escort? Jay-Z keeps everyone waiting and everyone get's pissed at LeBron for not being there anyway. Regardless of what he does he is always the bad guy even when he absolutely did the right thing taking the escort. There isn't a person on this forum who can honestly say they wouldn't do the same thing (tweet not included) who can be taken seriously.
The real question, who cares if he did or not? Media blows everything up.
He just looks like a Dumazz for posting it on social media. If me or my friends do something that we shouldn't be doing and be allowed. We would not be blowing it up for everyone to know, keep it amongst friends. However, this level of entitlement because he is a celeb pizzes me off.
Those police officers should lose their jobs, and I'm not even kidding. We all know stuff like this happens, but it's a different story when we can actually see it. No one likes to be cut in line, and this is just that but on a grander scale.
And I have to disagree with the second guy in the video. While I don't think LeBron is a bad guy in this situation, he needs to understand that the majority of people who support him and watch him play don't have these types of privileges, and could take this to be pretty offensive like I did.
ethically he has no argument, the culture can take advantage of you we've all been in more minor situations where we can get full of ourselves, hopefully he will recognize the wrong in hindsight
I didn't watch the video but if the police wanted to escort me to a concert, I wouldn't mind. Doesn't make it right but I wouldn't care.
why does anyone care?
and fyi...anyone can get a police escort. all you have to do is go to your local police dept. youll have to pay for the cop by the hour and theyll also charge you a flat fee for the police cruiser/motorcycle.
How much does it cost to go in the opposite direction of traffic ?
That's LeBron James for ya... He ain't never been grounded, so why is anyone surprised?
Haha, TYT love it
I don't care. Your crappy presidents get police escorts so why not Lebron? Hes done more for your economy then your last 2 presidents.
Lmfao, truer words have never been spoken.
why is this such a big deal... he avoided traffic to get to a concert... okay?... im sure any famous athlete would've done the same thing if they had the chance
Yeah let's blame the guy who accepted the escort over the guy who wouldn't start his concert until LeBron arrived. I can't believe how stupid people are these days.
