The "Lebron James" of baseball
Not a baseball fan, but the Nats have two young studs that have the potential to be HOF's. Strasburg was on a tear before the Tommy John surgery, and now Harper is tearin' in up too! I hope Strasburg returns to form. Ehen I found out he was having Tommy John surgery, I was really worried, but I've heard that a lot of pictures have made a full recovery and have came back the same, if not better than what they were before the injury.
Harper is a safer bet than Strasburg, just because pitchers have higher risk of injuries. But your right, Nationals have two phenom on their team (reminds me of when Mets had Darryl Strawberry and Dwight Gooden). A team is lucky enough to have just one, but to have two phenoms is incredible.
But I remember Mr. Harper's name and seeing this amazing segment on him on E:60
His upside is crazy and he has amazing strength for a young kid. I don't watch baseball games but I would check out his games if he is the real deal though I'm sure we will be seeing him being the headliner on Sportscenter come next season.
As a Phillies fan I would have a little bit of fear towards the Nationals if they were to sign Prince Fielder and a frontline pitcher. Desmond, Werth, Fielder, Harper, and Zimmerman would be a pretty nasty core and Strausburg plus another good pitcher could have them challenging for the wild card.
Harper is actually a former C who converted to OF and he dropped out of high school to play JUCO ball after his junior season (im pretty sure about the year.) The Nats could be a force to be reckoned with very soon since they have a great young core of players.
This guy was hitting 500 foot HR at age of 16 (video posted by IAMBASED), he's 18 now, so you can imagine how stronger he is now. Nationals made a very smart move by removing him at Catcher's position and moving him to Outfield, just look at whats happening to Joe Mauer now.
He has some really solid articles on Bryce Harper:

Right after I make this thread to praise the kid, he goes and do this. This happened yesterday. He seems like he has a lot of maturing to do. 1st he blows a kiss after a HR couple months ago, and yesterday he got ejected for this anger tantrum...
I don't think he will be up to the MLB next year, probably the year after that. He just injured his hamstring and is now out for the season. He was playing with the Harrisburg Senators (AA).
I remember andrew jones hitting home runs in the world series at the age of 18.
bryce harper is a super talent, but hes also a serious douche, i remember the video of him hitting that home run and blowing a kiss to pitcher. do that in the majors and youre bound to get 95 mph fastballls thrown at your head.

I don't know how many true baseball fans are in this forum, but this 18 year old kid Bryce Harper is exceeding all his hype that came when he was drafted out of high school. The kid has 16HR w/ 24 stolen bases, and batting .290 with OBP of 390, basically the guy has Power, speed, and super advance hitting, also has the best/strongest arm in minor leagues, all this in a 6'3 225lbs 18 year old body. Just a straight up phenom. I haven't seen this type of baseball phenom since the likes of Daryll Strawberry and Ken Griffey Jr. He's tearing up the minors right now, and could be in the big league later this season as an 18 year old, that would probably make him the youngest ever to play in MLB or atleast one of the youngest.
Whats your thought on this kid?
