I say no. If he's ''King James'' why hasn't he won a ring yet. Why if he's Mr. Do It All I can do this i can do that. Dude face it your not a leader you need help you can score that's about it. No one is going to remember you from your talk. You need to walk the walk. You boast to much. Just cuz you slam it down does not mean we got to bang on out chest and act like a retard. (Iggnorant) You can't win ring without help face it you suck. C'mon you can't do it with the team you have now and there is some good players on that team. Mo Williams, Wally Sczerbiak, Big Z (ilguzkas did i spell it right)= Good D=Starting players. Then Delonte West & Varejao = good role players. You hog the ball to much. So everyone is he the King just really think about this is he ''King James''. Is he????????????? He can score about it. HAHA. Can't play 'D' he can't hit a contested three if his life depended on it. So is he really ''King James''. Just think about this.

WOW

How can you question whether LEBRON JAMES is as good as everyone says? Have you ever watched basketball before? They question Brandon Jennings and Ricky Rubio, but I havent heard of questioning Lebron

Seriously?

Is this a real question? Yes, he's that good, and he's 24 for godsake! Give him Pau and he wins too, enough said. Championships are about teams. He doesnt have what he needs around him yet. Honestly, look at his numbers from the E.C. Finals. What more could he have done, he had like 38ppg 8 rebs and 8 assts.

Yeah you are a retard. He is

Yeah you are a retard. He is completely unselfish, a fantastic passer, great rebounder and lockdwon defender when he tries to be so saying he can just score if the dumbest thing you can say. His team flat-out sucks. If you switch Kobe and LeBron to eachother teams the Lakers would have won 70+ games and the Cavs would have won about 50-52. Pistonsman please leave this site because LeBron will get his ring(s) and could end up being the best ever.

I don't even know where to

I don't even know where to start. How about Wally as a starter and Delonte as a bench player? Have you even seen a Cavs game once in your life? What does LeBron boast about? Has he ever said I'm going to win 3 championships my first 5 years in the league? Has he ever said everyone else sucks but me? I dont think only scoring wins you MVP's or 1st team all defense. And I don't think LeBron won a scoring title this year, Wade did. Matter of fact I don't think LeBron has ever won a scoring title. How about the 3 he hit to beat the Warriors on the road this year with a hand in his face? How about the shot in the Eastern Conference finals to win Game 2, which was a fadeaway 3 contested as hell? How about a halfcourt 3 pointer against Atlanta in the second round? Your argument makes absolutely zero sense. Go back to watching baseball because you obviously have never seen a basketball game in your life. If you want to hate on someone at least bring a legit argument to the table.

LMFAO that Wally is a good player on the Cavs!! I bet you would resign him for $13.5 million a year too right?

No. I understand exactly

No. I understand exactly what he's thinking. I dont think this is a dumb question he just worded it wrong

The Answer in NO. LBJ is a top 3 player in the NBA. At this age and level, we have not seen this type of dominance ever. Not Even MJ could do some of the things LBJ could do. He is a walking Triple-Double and he's improve his Defense 100%.

LeBron James is overrated

Its a 1 man show in Cleveland. LeBron have ball in his hands all the times and when they stop him then he pass to teamates so thats why he got all those assists! Think about it! Guy driving to basket and attacking so is normal he will get 8 or 10 assist a game when he go to basket at least 100 times a game and for a guy who is build like a tank he should get more rebounds! I think Wade is better player and he win a ring and his numbers are basicay the same, he only got less rebounds but thats normal cuz he is shorter. James only got few more years to play if he wont get a jumper cuz when he will go to 30 he cant compete with the bests anymore. James remind me of young Grant Hill and Carter and McGrady. All this players had similar numbers like LeBron now. Media created all this king James chit and that he is the best but the guy didnt win nothing yet so he should not even be in same class with Bryant and Wade. He is just another media muppet!

Yes he is the "KING" of the nba as an individual player

through 14 games in the playoffs 35.3 PPG, 9.1RPG, 7.3 APG, 1.6 STLS ...

And the averages seem like nothing when you watch him play... he can be UNSTOPPABLE .

haha the pistons fan saying Lebron isn't as good as he's hyped out to be?

maybe he's still pissed when Lebron single handedly ruined the current Pistons franchise when he pretty much took over the 4th and overtime

i dont really like lebron

i dont really like lebron but how can you question his ability. he couldn't guard turkglu, lewis, and howard at the same time. mo williams at best is a good third option. i mean it took 2 injuries to get williams on the all star team. the team needs an athletic combo forward. lebron can win a championship this year with the same team plus a derrick brown type from draft. but lebron did everything he could to try and win.

If it is that easy to get assist then how come Kobe never averaged as many? He was being double teamed almost everytime he touched the ball before he had pau. And even now he is doubled a lot and still doesn't get as many assist. Lebron is by no means my favorite player but I still resect his game and all of the "lebron haters/Kobe fans" need to do the same.

Lebron is great, but he

Lebron is great, but he won't ever win a ring if he doesn't get his teamates involved.

A lot of people blame his teammates and said Lebron was doing all the work. The way I see it is Lebron ball-hogged and made his teammates cold. It's tough to make a shot when your not involved in the offense the entire 2nd half.

^ thank you mr. duke.

^ thank you mr. duke. Furthermore it is just plain ignorant to say that LeBron gets rebounds because he is tall. How does Chris Paul or Jason Kidd manage a triple double then? Yea Jason Kidd must have by some crazy chance got almost 100 triple doubles. LeBron gets rebounds because he slashes in the lane and kicks to the open shooter. He is closest to the basket.

Yes he is.

I'm a pistons fan too, and I hate LeBron but you can't question the guy's abilities. Sure he can't win a championship by himself but no one else in history has really led a team by themselves to a championship. Mo Williams is definitely not the 2nd man to do the job because when was the last time a point guard - small forward combination won a championship? I can't think of one because point guard and small forward aren't a great combination as your star players. Jordan won 6 rings because he had Pippen who was a small forward so the opposition's best wing defender had to guard one of them and it would allow the other to dominate. The bad boys won back-to-backs because they had a 3 guard rotation of Thomas, Dumars, and Johnson which made it a nightmare to defend because most teams only had one player who could guard the speed they had in the back court. They didn't have to worry about defense with those 61,63, and 63 tall guards at all because Dumars had the pure defensive tenacity to guard both positions, Jordan even called him the best defender he faced in the NBA. Johnson could handle shooting guards as well because of how strong he was for his size as well as his quickness. The big man - little man combinations have always worked because their is an inside and outside threat making the offense balanced. Two perimeter players like LeBron and Williams won't work because NBA teams always have a wing good defender and a defensive backup guard to handle a point guard or combo guard. This makes the Cavs an easier team to guard because they have nobody to actually lighten the load offensively for LeBron. You can't win a championship when there is no one to relieve pressure off of your number one player. This proves that LeBron may need help help like you said, but so did every other NBA legend. Since you said, "Dude face it your not a leader you need help you can score that's about it." does that mean Jordan's not a leader because he needed some help? Don't you realize that if he had a team like Jordan's then he would've won at least one title by now? He's not on Jordan's level right now, but he definitely would've won at the very least a single title by now with a team like that. So that is evidence LeBron is as good as he's bragged up to be. I'm sick of some of the ridiculous stuff people put on here because some people really don't know that much about basketball and are so biased. I'm not even 14 yet but I can retain my opinion about a player's abilities without putting my favorite team's grudges into consideration.

Really

LeBron is probably the best in the league right now. Its him or Kobe. This guys stats are unbelievable. He can average a triple double. The reason he has not won a ring is because his teammates are not good. He cant do it by himself. Even Kobe cant, thats why he won the Finals this year because he has good teammates.

LeBron James

Has a chance to go down as one of the best basketball players of all-time and he is well on his way. Everyone needs help to win championships, and if LeBron had lead the Cavaliers there, it would have been incredibly impressive. I personally did not believe his team was good enough to beat the Lakers, and apparently they did not have what it takes to beat the Magic either, but you honestly would fault LeBron for that? He had an incredibly undersized back court and his front court was just totally dominated by the athleticism possessed by the Magic. Anderson Verajao is a tough defender, but he is more of a post defender and Lewis/Turkoglu killed him on the perimeter, not to mention that Ilgauskas had no ability whatsoever to provide resistance to the speed of Dwight Howard. Also, Ilgauskas did not really take many shots from inside of 15, it was just killing their offensive flow, and Mike Brown just wanted to isolate LeBron the entire last few games as it was honestly their best chance of winning. The Cavs starters would actually usually come out with some impressive leads, which would only be crushed by their utter inability to provide second unit scoring, which of course includes Sczerbiack and Ben Wallace, who are just not there on either end. Wallace used to be a formidable defender, but their is a reason he is talking retirement, as it just hurt to see him play so far below the level he used to be and provide little to no resistance to Dwight Howard. If you took LeBron away from this Cavalier team, it would be safe to say that they would be a little worse than the Milwaukee Bucks that Mo Williams had played on the year before. LeBron needs just a little more interior help to win than he had, and their was a reason that the other players numbers went down significantly and LeBron's went up, because the other guys were not getting the job done.

LeBron is the best finisher in basketball (and I am not talking about post players like Dwight Howard, I am talking about guys making moves toward the basket), has a mid range game that is improving, and is percentage wise as consistent a 3 point shooter as Kobe Bryant. He also works his ass off to get better, and no matter how many times his team mates seem to not get it done, he still tries to involve them. He can score, he can rebound, he has incredible court vision and in my opinion is one of the top 5 passers in the league, if not the best and he covers a ton of the court on defense. I could go on, but honestly, this argument does not need justification. When Jerry West says you are the best player in the game right now and could be the best player ever, that is something you should listen to. Also, he gives your Pistons teams utter fits, and game 5 of the 2007 play-offs was one of the more impressive individual play-off contests I have ever seen. Who sent that one into OT? Who scored the game winner through 4 of your players? 29 of the last 30 points, was it? Do not even tell me that if you could trade Rodney Stuckey, Tayshaun Prince and your next 3 first rounders that you would not do it in a heart beat. He is going to be the best player in the game for a long time, the NBA has never seen a player with his combination of strength, athleticism and speed. When he beat those Pistons, he lead his undermanned squad to the NBA Finals. Every time he has been in the play-offs he did amazing things, went to 7 against your Pistons his first year in the post season, 7 against the Celtics last year and just straight up got beat by a better TEAM. Was their a better player in that series? To me, he was forced to carry the team on his back as no one else could pick up the slack. Replace LeBron with anyone else in the league and see if they get past the Magic and get a ring. It is not happening. LeBron is pretty much unstoppable, and he is only going to get smarter and better. He is off to one of the All-Time greatest starts I have ever seen with his combination of regular season and play-off success, and by the end of his career, he is going to be one of the All-Time greatest to ever have played, if not legitimately the best of All-Time.

Lebron

Yes he is as good as he is bragged up to be, that is why everyone had the Kobe-Lebron debate during the playoffs, they are by far the 2 best players.
I can see a little bit why people say Lebron doesn't get his teamates involved enough because during the playoffs he did go stretches during games where he sort of takes over the ball but at the same time, his team was shooting AWFUL and it is hard to make the pass out to your teamate when you don't have confidence in them.

This team is better than people think( they were the 1 seed). It was put together to compliment his gameplay. They were just a badly matched up against orlando.

James has taken his team to

James has taken his team to the finals twice already, and neither team was loaded with talent. Lebron is no worse than the 2nd best player on the planet now. Kobe had a far superior supporting cast and no one questions him They shouldn't......and no one should question James either. Not overrated one iota. He will be the most sought after free agent in the history of sports next year. This is for a reason. And he's 24! He will get better. Pretty scary to the teams that have to face him for the next decade!

I'm guessing those comments were made in jest or to get a rise out of people who watch basketball, right?!?!?!?!?!?

LBJ

I think Maravich just hit it on the head. At worst, Lebron is the second best player in the league. I still side with Kobe, but for me to diss LeBron as a player would be idiotic. Winning a title is important, but it does not make or break you as a player. Greatness is greatness, and there is no denying it. Jordan did'nt suck in the 80's, Malone did'nt suck in the 90's and Kobe did'nt suck during those 7 years between titles, everyone needs help.

never seen a lebron hater to this degree. i too am not a lebron fan(im a kobe fan myself) but i will give credit where credit is due and say bron is good and with his size and athleticism its hard 2 deny that he will maybe next season be the most dominant player of all time. as 4 his title aspirations bron is only 24. he will have plenty of time and chances 2 get titles. the way i see it if bron goes his entire career and never capturing a ring then he jus cant be considered one of the greatest. As for all the conversations about whether bron or kobe is the best that talk is over. clear cut its kobe. and the media will continue 2 bash lebron until he either cathes up 2 or pases kobe

Idiots

How yall can say that LeBron James dont have good teamates??? There playing current All-star (Williams) and 3 former All-stars and some nice role players!!! They been good enough to get him to win 66 games but now are not good enough??? LeBron didnt make them better cuz he try do all by himself!!! LeBron James is a statistical freak and stats dont show everything. I still think Wade is a better player and he have a ring and u cant put James in same class with Bryant and Wade till he win a championship. James its still young and will only get better but for now u cant call him a king or the best player in the league cuz that dude didnt win nothing yet and he was in finals already and he lost it so u cant say that he could be the best ever cuz Michael Jordan never lost in finals and i am pretty sure LeBron will never won 6 rings! I am fan of Kobe and i will never compare him with Jordan either! Kobe is far more completed player than LeBron ever will be and Kobe dont play for stats anymore cuz he dont need too cuz he show everything in all this years what he can do! Its Kobe Bryant time baby and James will get a ring when Bryant retire!

LeBron James remind me at young Grant Hill when he playin for Detroit Pistons. When Hill was 24 years old in season 96/97 he had this numbers: 22 pts 9 rbs 7 ast!

I can't believe I am even

I can't believe I am even posting on this topic but since I read it I might as well. Yes, he's that good. If he had talent around him he would have been in the Finals. Hell, he was in the Finals 3 years ago and didn't have that much talent then. He won the MVP at 24 and is one of the most dominant players to ever touch a basketball. He is one of the rare guys who has reached an unstoppable status and when he gets a legit #2 guy next to him the NBA might get real boring.

can somebody explain to me

can somebody explain to me why you can't put a player in a class with another player because they don't have a championship?

does that mean we can't put Lebron James even with Robert Horry because Horry has 7 rings?

if your only argument for saying Wade is better than Lebron is because Wade has a ring, you're a fool. first of all, Wade has a ring in the same way that Kobe has 3 of his 4, because of the most dominant center these young little kiddies who try to make the utterly stupid argument have ever seen.

I wonder if they think that Trent Dilfer is better than Dan Marino too

team

Give Lebron one legitimate big man and it could have been the Cavs with the ring this year.

I really didn't think the Cavs had a chance against the lakers in the finals (if that were the matchup)

Kobe had a much better team around him. Gasol is arguably a top 5 big man in the league, Odom is a matchup nightmare and one of the biggest X factors in the league. Bynum is another big and athletic body down low. Fisher is selfless, experienced, and an extremely smart basketball player. Even Ariza is pretty good. He can be fantastic on the defensive end and he can shoot as well.

I don't want to make this about the Lakers, but if you switch Lebron and Kobe, the Lakers still win the championship with Lebron on their team. In fact, they would have dominated even more. Lebron is not overrated and he is the best basketball player in the world.

i know!

every year, they say he cant do this, and then he comes out and does it. and dont bring the rings into question. if we did that we would have to consider robert horry the 2nd or 3rd best player in nba history and ron harper a top ten player of all time and we dont want to do that. let the king be. once they figure out the pieces he will win his share
