Robb_CParticipantIm not buying this low carb bs…Hes clealy not as strong as he use to be, what are the chances he was using PEDS in Miami and maybe is the reason why he has such a drastic change in his hairline.. I have a strong feeling he was taking performers he was even linked to biogenesis at one point..

Memphis MadnessParticipantI wouldn’t doubt it.
So far he has had 2 out of 3 below average games.
Maybe he is no longer a comic book super hero.
I would doubt that he was the first guy to do it, if he did.
I would also look at Michael Jordan. He did UNREAL stuff. He had some science fiction games, weeks, months, and even years.
Contrast Jordan to Magic Johnson who was probably one of the most athletic people on the planet during his prime. And, a guy like Jordan just blew him off the map athleticism wise. While you look at Magic and Bird they had more basketball "talent" and a higher basketball IQ than basically anyone else. And, Jordan comes in and blows these guys away. MJ scored, passed, ran the offense, defended like crazy, played 40 plus minutes a night and STILL made plays that would make Dr. J blush.
On another level, maybe he always was on the up-and-up, but with all his mileage he has started to slip like everyone else. Given that he has never been a Larry Bird-type shooter, and, for my money, he was never the floor leader that a prime Magic was (I even think Magic’s prime was in 1992 when he didn’t even play a regular season game). Oh yeah, Magic was probably on steriods at that point for HIV.

TarHeelRavenParticipantThat is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Lebron was not on PED’s. His mom hit the genetic lottery and her son had the most athletically gifted male probably in the history of any sport.

SeattleSuperChronicsParticipantI wouldn’t doubt it but I like to think he didn’t…or doesn’t. But he has always been an athletic freak since a child soo it’s not like all of a sudden he got way more athletic in Miami. In order to win he had to develop more of an old man game in maimi. Taking people to the block.

IndianaBasketballParticipantI thought I was the only one who noticed… He doesn’t look the same at all. He looks sluggish and like his legs are heavy. Plus, he’s not as strong/powerful.
The weight loss seems to be hurting his game somewhat based on what I’ve seen these three games.

ReekoParticipantLeBron’s hairline has been receding for awhile now, it isn’t as though he just started losing his hair. Further, balding at an early age is not necessarily an indicator of steroid use, however it can indicate naturally high levels of testosterone in men. He gained a lot of muscle in Miami in order to play the post at the 4, now with Love in Cleveland I think playing the 4 is far from his mind (though it may be the position where he is most effective). The argument that he’s had a couple of sub par games due to this loss of weight and I guess linking that to him no longer being on steroids, is nothing short of ludicrous. Steroids would not make him a better ball player. Why isn’t Wilt Chamberlain ever brought up in these discussions of steroid use, since he’s probably the strongest basketball player of all time and so athletically ahead of his time that it boggles the mind when you see old videos of him. Anabolic steroids have been around since the 1930’s, yet it is only the more modern players that we question when it comes to PED’s. You can’t tell me that LeBron doesn’t have the build to develop muscle and gain weight naturally.

ropeParticipantUnfortunately, we are in an era where everyone at the top of the game is under suspicion, whether they are doing it or not. I hope he is not involved. I can see why people try and stitch together the "proof" they want, but there are just as many reasonable answers that go the other direction. I am just gonna watch the games, myself and not worry about it one way or the other.

ropeParticipant*meant "their game," not "the game." Don’t want to suggest this is a huge problem among the best NBA players.

ropeParticipantSo, let me get this straight: From the ratings to this post there are people that a) either hope it is true or b) think there isn’t suspicion for top players in any sport that display either outstanding athleticism or big changes in their body? Kobe dealt with it, Tiger, too. You could go on. Did you hope it would come out or were you unaware of the speculation?

Robb_CParticipantOk.. over the course of an 82 game season +playoffs with the amount of cardio that is done.. it is extremely difficult to keep that amount of size and gains..look at his muscle density now if those where natural gains from his time in Miami he would be a lot more ripped than he is now.. the fact that he lost muscle density and stamina over the time of him going back to Cleveland raises a lot of red flags for Performers.. During the Olympics he was jacked out of his mind..
Yes his hairline was bad before possible steroid use, but steroids typically speed up the process if and when you start using them..

ropeParticipantOne thing I thought of that was interesting. Today on one of the ESPN radio shows a reporter, when asked why LeBron looked more explosive, listed several things, but the first he mentioned was PEDs. He didn’t elaborate in the rest of the interview, but I wondered why that was the first thing out of his mouth. Reporters don’t usually go there right off, if at all. Except Skip Bayless.

tuck243ParticipantDOES equate to lost of strength and stamina? You don’t say? I made a thread over the summer about how his game might take a hit and EVERYONE chimed in on how stupid I was…
With that said, he doesn’t look as explosive and I also think he’s too passive… Which has nothing to do with lost of strength…

Dale WorthingtonParticipantLeBron was already ripped prior to going on the Paleo/Atkins diet.
Why would he have any desire to get any slimmer? Put 2 and 2 together.
All of this happened the moment they started instituting HGH testing.
If it walks like a duck…and it quacks like a duck…it’s probably a…
Duck.

Dale WorthingtonParticipantWow, there are some crazy fanboys out there. People are saying with conviction that LeBron was clean and never on drugs, as if they’ve seen his medicine cabinet.
Guess what, people said the exact same thing about Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa.
"McGwire and Sosa would never take steroids. They’re role models. Plus, they even said they’ve never touched drugs…and who would EVER lie about illegal drug use?"

Robb_CParticipantDale, exactly my point.. LeBron is trying to justify the weight loss with all this BS..when he was literally playing the best basketball anyone has ever witness.. Lebron was the most effective player since Wilt during those Miami years.. and he leaves Miami the moment Biogenesis and his name was reported on it.

Dale WorthingtonParticipantI agree 100%, my brethren. People never want to admit their favorite athlete is/was on the sauce. But if you look at this objectively, there’s a very strong chance he was on HGH.
And LOL at people bringing up the back injury thing. That’s called an excuse. It’s very common for guys to play through injuries, not to mention that a back injury doesn’t cause a guy to drop 20-30 pounds when said guy is already ripped to shreds.
