TarHeelRavenParticipantDid anybody see the video of Lavar Ball coaching up his AAU team that got blown out by 52 points? I know people are absolutely sick and tired about hearing about this guy, I just thought him trying to pump up his guys when they were getting straight run out of the gym was pretty funny. I think was was more funny were the clips of Lamelo stright air balling jumpers, dribbling around in circles and turning the ball over. I’m not sure if that was real footage or not, but if it was it was some of the most atrocious basketball I have ever seen. His brother is a master passer and Lamelo is a ball hog. I think I saw he is the number one PG in the class of 2019. If that is true, it is extremely sad. What do you guys think about all of this?

ChoppyParticipantCan people stop giving this guy air time? Like how the shoe companies all decided to not work with the Balls, have all news outlets agree to not show any Lavar stories. I think that’s best for everyone.

nill650ParticipantBall could fall to 5 or 6 not working out for other teams esp if Philly is definitely using Simmons as the pg, where they will be looking at Tatum or Monk.
not a foregone conclusion that Ball is a Laker just yet if they have any scouts worth salt, Jackson makes a ton of sense in LA.
Ball has less than proto dribble drive ,no mid range game and is a poor defender so the elite passing and longrange shooting don’t make up for the deficiencies.
He will quickly be exposed imo… He is the 4th or 5th ranked pg in this draft at best, and one of the most overhyped prospects in recent memory.
Im not saying he is a bust there are a lot of things to like, but you cannot simply write him in unless you think Magic has lost a lot of brain cells.

ChewyParticipantis getting this team into a lot of top tournaments. Problem is there are like 3 or 4 good players on the team and the rest are local guys. I’m sure they would be great in state tournaments, but when you are playing against real AAU teams with future all americans that are loaded… of course your gunna get blown out. You can’t play that "extreme run n gun" style when the other team has better talent and is more athetic.

Pistol Pete. The PelicanParticipantRight, LaMelo is really the only player on the team who will play or have a shot at high D-1 or D-1 at all. The team was created for the Ball boys, it will be over in two years. Of course due to the dislike of LaVar people will try to make this a thing.

ChewyParticipantstarted his own AAU team. Ft. Sooey No Limit. Team had Livinsgton, Rich McBride (Illinois), Brian Randle (Illinois) and Cerolsoli (Seaton Hall-transfered a few teams, can’t remember).

sheltwon3Participantand he is 15. If you look at the players on Big Ballers, the game should have been worse for them. The other team was stacked and Big Ballers really only have two guys that can create their own shot.

theballerwayParticipantwould have been his sophomore season had he not moved up a year to play with Lonzo.

ChammesParticipantCompton magic has a teammate of Lamelo in the same class thats ranked highed than him,Onyeka Okongwu, he got to shine without lamelo shooting 40 foot jumpers and missing backboard lol

SeattleSuperChronicsParticipantLamelo isn’t a ball hog. I see solid high IQ passes every game. They were just out matched. The second best player on the big ballers is a sub 6ft Hispanic and Compton has a chino Hills player on their roster.

Jr. ROXASParticipantLaMelo has some James Harden lackluster/bad body languageness to him. He has talent, but I hope he cleans that up.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantThis was my original quip with LaVar, before he really lost it. He is talking big and putting it all on his children to back it up, including his 15 year old. Teams get blown out. Players have awful moments and games. LaMelo is 15. It shouldn’t be covered on ESPN, but LaVar’s big mouth makes it click bait schadenfreude.

Memphis MadnessParticipantLaMelo should get a Nike shoe deal.
They can call it the AIR Ball.
